Thanh Ha Pottery Village

 Thanh Ha Pottery Village is a long-standing traditional craft village in Hoi An, formed in the 16th
century.

 can watch the traditional pottery making process, visitors can also create their own unique
ceramic products.

 Located along the gentle Thu Bon River and about 3 km west of Hoi An city center

 The biggest difference of Thanh Ha Pottery Village compared to other ceramic villages in
Vietnam is the 100% manual production process.

 The main material to create ceramic products in Thanh Ha village is clay. From primitive clay
blocks

 Every step in the pottery making process is meticulously performed and explained by the artist,
from shaping the clay with a turntable, painting decorations, drying it, and putting it in the kiln.
 The terracotta park at Thanh Ha pottery village has an area of up to 6,000 m2, making it the
largest ceramic park in Vietnam today.

 This is the place to preserve and store ceramic products of Thanh Ha village, while promoting
Vietnamese ceramics to international friends.
 The park is divided into two separate areas, one area is an upside-down building known for
storing ceramic artifacts from ancient times. The remaining area is an upside-down building that
is also the place to exhibit and introduce new ceramic products.

 Here every year on January 10, people will hold a worshiping ceremony with the hope that their
ancestors will bless a peaceful and prosperous new year.

 Thanh Ha pottery village sells many souvenirs as well as everyday items. You will see booths
displaying bowls, cups, flower vases, fish vases, plant pots, and ceramic turtles.
