17th Annual Report


With the blessings of our beloved Secretary Madam Smt. K. VIJAYA KUMARI, M.A.,
B.Ed the Annual Report of the year 2023 -24 was presented.

About the college

Jaya Sakthi Engineering College is a premier institute in higher education. The College is
approved by NAAC ‘A’ Grade, All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) and Affiliated
to the Anna University, Chennai. It can be proudly stated that many Engineers pass out every year
from various branches such as AI&DS, CSE, CSE (CYBER SECURITY), MECH, BIO-MEDICAL,
PHARMA, BIO TECHNOLOGY from the college it is a self financing institution which brings out
well qualified, talented engineers.

We impart skills in a harmonious, pluralistic environment preparing students to meet


challenges and embrace opportunities of the increasingly global world. Situated close to Chennai
Metropolis, the College is one of the foremost centers of graduate and professional education in the
state of Tamil Nadu. Nearest Railway Station is Nemilicherry on the Chennai-Thiruvallur Train
Route. Free buses are run by the Management daily from Nemilicherry Railway Station to Jaya
Sakthi Engineering College.

About the Management

The performance chart of Jaya Sakthi Engineering College is getting expanded day by day.
The role of the management is remarkable and they are our out stimulating factors for all endeavors
and success.

 The intake of the college is 490 out of that _____ were pursuing their course.s

 The NAAC PEER TEAM visited our college on the month of August 25 th & 26th. The
inspection was done in a smooth manner.
 We have awarded prestigious NASAC ‘A’ Grade on September 7 th. We thank for the
management for the support.
 The best teachers award was conducted by; Jaya Sakthi Engineering college on behalf of our
management. We have collected the best teachers from over all Thiruvallur district schools.
Both the government schools and self – financing schools. We have invited the m and asked
to select two best teachers from their school and we have awarded this with a mementos on
the celebration. The management provided lunch for all the participated school teachers.
 The Christmas day celebration was celebrated in our college in a very grand manner.
Students enacted the birth of Christ on the celebration. The college choir also performed
well. They also performed in dance.
 The Pongal Celebration is celebrated in our college in very grand manner. Department
pongal was cooked by our students. Various funny games were conducted for our students
all are enjoyed a day.
 Alumni meet

Our college celebrated Alumni Meet on 26 th January every year. This year it is our 14 th
Alumni Meet. Alumni asset award was awarded to our alumni who helped us in many ways
for the betterment of the institution.

 National Festivals

Independence Day & Republic Day are celebrated in our college every year. All the faculties
and students will participate and some events also conducted for the students. The
management will provide sweets for the all.

 Student Achievements

Dinesh from Bio-Medical Department has won state level silambam match.

 Women’s Day Celebration

In our college we have celebrated International Women’s Day on 9 th march 2024. The
founder of Geo India Foundation Mrs. T. Priya Jemima was the chief guest of the celebration.
The welcome address was given by Dr. Madhurikkha, Hod – AI&Ds, JSEC & the
presidential address was given by our principa; Dr. J. M. Mathana, Principal, JSEC. The
rangoli & elocution competition s were conducted for girl students. The prizes were given
for the winners. The two mechanical girl students were honored by the department for
choosing the course.

 Placement Training Progamme

The placement training programme was conducted on march 7 th, 2024 on the commemoration
of the founder’s day on march 3, 2024.the topic is “Orientations sessionon placement training
& aspiring minds computer adaptive test (AMCAT)”. The speaker of the event is Mr. Kashif
Ahmed, Senior Manager,Campus Solutions, SHL (India) Pvt. Ltd. All the final year students
have attended the sessions.

 In our college our NSS Team & Women Empowerment Cell collaborately conducted the
event on 14th December in order to celebrate “National Energy Conservation Day” the
resource persons are Mr. P. K. Santhosh HOD – BME & Dr. R. Arun Kumar –S&H
(Chemistry)
 The NSS team in association with Women’s empowerment cell had conducted the event on
“Stress Management & Healthy Life Style”. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Y. Deepa,
HOD- Manipulative Therapy Govt. Yoga Naturopathy Medical College and Hospital.
 Our first year student has won the prize in Inter Zonal – Fencing.
 Founder’s Day Celebration

The founder’s day is celebrated on 4 th march 2024 on the occasion of our beloved Secretary
Madam’s birthday. Our principal and faculty & staff’s had paid our respect to our Secretary
Madam. On account of founders day celebration we have distributed cakes to all the
students. Our management had provided lunch for all the faculties & staff members. On this
occasion we have planted the trees in our college campus. Our mechanical department has
announced the “Go-Kart” race event on the Founder’s Day. Our student of finaly year B.E.
Bio Medical Engineering Mr. S. Dinesh had participated in the state level silambam
competition at vannichatiram near redhills and won two gold medals & two awards. He was
appreciated by our Principal & faculty members on our Founder’s Day. The cricket
tournament was conducted by our college as a mark of Founder’s Day Celebration.

 The one week placement training program was conducted by our college for the purpose of
of final year students
 The pooja celebration was celebrated in a grand manner. Individual department had
celebrated pooja.
 Industrial Visit

Mechanical Department students visited the CSIRSCRC Chennai, on 26th of


September, 2023 as part of our industrial visit program. The visit began at 10.15 AM at
the college when the bus started with 20 students and 2 staff member on board. We
reached CSIR-SCRC. Around 9:00 AM. We were allowed inside after submitting all the
paperwork. The first division we visited was the CSIO , CSIR-SCRC There, we saw how
a water filtrations done from all the various raw materials and we visited various shops
where, the raw materials were prepared for assembly.

 3D Printing “A Revolutionary Technology”

One day workshop – 3D printing “A Revolutionary Technology” was conducted on


November 3rd 2023 at Jaya Sakthi Seminar Hall. The workshop was very well organized to
accommodate young engineers and common people and also various institutions and
academicians. Totally 130 students registered and participated in the seminar.

 Biomedical Engineering Department staff are fully committed to research and


development activities thereby getting information about recent advancements in their
field and also encouraging advanced learners in the department to publish research
works. The summary of total research activities carried out by our staff members are
listed under, 17 journals & 21 conferences.
