: Good Morning everyone!

For our presentation, we decided to choose the topic about teens´

problems and worries. (slide 1)
: I would like to give you a short overview of my presentation, starting with the table of
contents. We are going to talk about several topics, the first one we're going to explain what is
the adolescence and why adolescence is a different phase for everyone, then which are the
most common problems , telling what they are and how we can deal with them. And finally, talk
about how we can look for help or who can help us. (slide 2)
: The adolescence is a phase of maturation which girls and boys become adults. It is
characterized by severals changes on a physical, psychological, and sexual level. During
adolescence, people develop a sense of who they are and learn to form close relationships with
people who aren´t family members. A process that is not peaceful. (slide 3)
: As the process will never always be peaceful, there will be many discussions with the parents
and also a few problems in general. (slide 3) So, as there are problems with the parents, there
will be others that cause us major headaches. Which are low self-esteem, social isolation,
bullying, obesity, toxic relationships and sexuality. (slide 4) Here are some examples of problems
and we will specify each of them. (slide 5)
: Bullying is a very common social problem, but in adolescence it becomes even more serious.
However, parents or teachers are not always aware of bullying situations and the impact they
can have on our lives. The first thing to do when we are bullied is to talk to someone, an adult
we trust. And then there are many other things we can do, such as ignoring the bullier, never
walking alone, and having the courage to talk to someone (bullying slide 5)
: Teenagers undergo radical transformations in their appearance and there are a few ways to
solve it. One of them is to exercise your capacity for self-confidence. Contrary to what many
people believe, being self-confident doesn't mean that you think you're better than others. Self-
confidence is the ability to trust yourself. So do the things you like to do to feel better (low self-
esteem slide 5).
Relationships are fundamental in our lives, but they are not always easy to keep healthy. For a
healthy relationship to exist, there needs to be mutual respect, trust and communication on the
part of both of you. To be able to deal with toxic relationships, it is important to ask for help and
always create a limit of intimacy (unhealthy relationships slide 5)
: (slide 6) All these problems need a solution and we don't always have to help ourselves alone.
Even if there are psychologists, our parents are always our safe haven, so we must trust them to
tell them everything. But we have to remember that we also have friends who may not be
many, but they are always enough to help us with something we need.
So it's not that deep, Adolescence is a challenging phase in which we have to mature and learn
to deal with our mistakes.
