Department
OPERATIONS ENGINEERING - OFFSHORE

Primary purpose of job

Handle Engineering Projects under OEE/1(O) Section from conceptual stage to commissioning stage by preparation of
project scope of works, technical specifications, carry out the technical evaluation of bids, review/approval of design,
engineering drawings, supervision of site work until commissioning and handover.

Responsible for carrying out site surveys, conceptual and detailed design of In–house MoC projects.

Reviews FEED, Feasibility studies, engineering design, drawings, HAZOP/HAZID studies, Risk assessment, procedures
and method statements submitted by consultants / contractors for all offshore engineering / maintenance projects related to
offshore locations.

Attend inter departmental meetings, life assessment extension program, reliability / operation meetings and represent static
equipment section.
Review Equipment failure report and provide static Engineering support, review material queries, suggest alternate
material/ specification, address obsolescence issues prepares and establishes the preventive maintenance routines for all
offshore static equipment.

Experience & Skills

Minimum 15 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry with an international reputable Operating company
Mandatory Experience in in Technical services or Engineering of Offshore and Upstream operations
Skill / knowledge of International, Shell DEPs and/or QatarEnergy standards related to his area of expertise and also
Design Software related to Mechanical (Static & Piping) Engineering such as CAESAR II,PVElite, e-Tank, etc.
Exposure with international consulting company, EPIC contractor with projects’ pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up
and Hand-over activities is an added advantage.
Possess sound fundamentals in his discipline area. Shall possess very good technical skills in his discipline.
Possess good communication, presentation skills and fluent in English language.

Education
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering specialized in Static and Piping. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is
preferable.
