Session 3 Outline

High-level summary of the changes over the one-year time skip:

 The past year was hard at the beginning, but the thin-blooded problem was quickly dealt with and you
had relative peace for 10 months at least.
 All the fledglings are now neonates – fully competent vampires, the equal of Daniel.
 All of you know your way around Red Hook and you know people, the faces in the streets, especially
those in Daniel’s criminal organization.
 Your place in vampire politics is clear to you. You are young, so you must stick together. None of you
would be able to control the Domain of Red Hook alone, so you form a coterie – an alliance of
young vampires – to uphold your influence and feeding grounds.
 Your personal quests were mostly on hold over the year. You were very busy with adjusting to your new
life and settling in in Red Hook.
 Victoria Panchard has announced herself Prince of NYC. She is very busy now preparing for the
ceremony so she is not available to you now.
 As payment to Daniel for raising the fledglings, Victoria now diverts funds to improving the district.
The overseer of these activities is Alexander, officially representing the Prince and speaking with her
voice.

Some OOC stuff:

 You can do whatever in NYC, but Red Hook is now your home base, your hunting grounds are here. If
you feed or try to claim other areas, expect confrontation with other supernaturals and heavy pushback.
 I take it you’re not very interested in the game mechanics:
o If you like, I can control the hunger mechanics for you, only narrating the effects.
o In any scene, you can announce that you want to engage the game mechanics, for example to
influence an NPC, or to assess situations and motivations objectively.

Starting Scene: Midnight Gathering
**Awakening from Slumber:**

Each member of the coterie awakens within the comfort of their individual Havens. The darkness of the room
begins to recede as you feel the call of the night.

 Describe the personal Havens of each vampire, highlighting the changes a year has brought to their
resting places.
 Players roll a Rouse check.

**Convening at the Loft:**

Arrival at the loft, once barren, now furnished and secured as a gathering place for you coterie.

 Exposed brick walls now adorned with art


 Furnishings that invite discussion
 Windows offering views of Red Hook’s quiet back alleys.
 Grand table, settling into the chairs, glasses of blood as a courtesy from Dr Grey.

**Planning for the Future:**

Open the floor to the characters as they lay out their visions for Red Hook's future.

 The Hooks
They control drugs and prostitution. Exterminating them is no option. Maybe help/manipulate the
police? Or stage a takeover and make it more discreet?
o Infesting a school in a bad neighborhood.
o Angelo’s trial for accidental murder… he is getting away.
o Infiltration could reveal that unknown vampires are mingling with them and three of their
members have been turned.
 Tenement Block
Drug trafficking and low vitality. Revitalizing and cleaning up could provide new feeding ground.
o Weird bag lady – new Malkavian…? Or UFO test subject.
o Hooks selling drugs.
o Victims of blood loss appear at clinic. Bishop investigating.
 Mysterious Stranger
Stranger in the warehouse district. Are they a lone vampire, an Anarch spy, or something else entirely?
Could they be an ally?
 Valentine’s Domain
Do you ensure peace or prey on the less secure areas and claim them as your own? Time to address the
neighboring Baron. Diplomacy to establish trade or information exchange?
 Anarch and Lupine Lands in the East
Brooklyn’s poor poor heart, with rumors about Lupins around the park. The anarchs are more
aggressive and independent here.
 Docklands
No man’s land… controlled by a formidable biker gang and also rumors about wild things… Maybe
lupines here as well? The Camarilla is concerned with the Masquerade here. This area is also vital for
expanding trade routes in the future.

**A Toast to the Night:**


Dr. Grey, ever the gracious host, has provided glasses of blood for the coterie. They raise their glasses in a toast
to their shared success and the night's endeavors. A moment of camaraderie, allowing players to bond over their
achievements and brace for the challenges ahead.

Feeding
 Yhorm has realized he wants consent from those he feeds. He needs to find people he can trust to feed
from. How does he approach this?
o Offering protection or favors in exchange?
o Underground pub, art scene, or online forums dedicated to the supernatural?
o Maybe seek out advice from older vampires? Discuss feeding philosophies with the others?
o If other vampires learn about this, they will either cry Masquerade breach or ridicule Yhorm
for this.
 Dr Grey notices his colleagues are whispering about thefts from the blood bank. Someone confronts
him. Who is stealing?
o Constant hunger, why continue like this?
o Someone is brought in with a gunshot wound.
o Not only your job might be on the line, but a potential Masquerade breach is imminent.
o A murse was turned into ghoul by the Hook vampire Marko and started stealing blood for the
black market.
 What’s up with the thin-blood hidden captive under the disco?
o Some have already perished under Anastasia’s drinking.
o Needs to be replaced. Next time, they’ll have a sympathetic personality which exacts
psychological toll on both of them.
o What if the others learn about this?
o What if thin-bloods learn about this? They start to fear the coterie and become enemies.
o Potential masquerade breach?
The Lost Boys

The "Lost Boys", newly turned vampires with a penchant for chaos and violence, strategizes to disrupt the
existing order in Red Hook and establish themselves as the new rulers of the underworld. Their plan is twofold:
to challenge Daniel with brute force and seduction and to take control of the Hooks gang, steering it towards a
more violent and anarchic direction.

They leverage their newfound vampiric abilities, including heightened strength, speed, and seductive allure, to
attract and manipulate members of the Hooks, envisioning a gang that operates without fear or restraint,
challenging both mortal law and vampire politics.

The ultimate goal of the "Lost Boys" is to create a domain in Red Hook where they can rule as kings, free from
the constraints of the Camarilla and human authorities.

 They start killing off Dan’s gang members, the same way he has been feeding off the Hooks. Murder
scenes, police scratching their head.
 Seduction and corruption of the Hooks.
 Showdown at the Disco – an attack on the Masquerade at a full night.
 Offer of an Alliance – Anastasia and Yhorm.
 They are connected to the Bats, a much larger threat.

Murder Scene

One of the players to stumble upon. We are out at night in the street, bad neighborhood. The police is there, they
found one of Daniel's gang members literally torn apart and bled out by the Lost Boys. They recognize he is part
of Dan's gang.
Happy Unbirthday
Concept: Anastasia decides to return to the Cathedral of Echoes, on the anniversary of her death. She finds
Valentine there, who has been there the whole time, willing to talk to her childe if she decides to seek him out.

Themes:

 Identity and Transformation: Explore how Anastasia has changed since her last visit to the Cathedral.
 Belonging and Isolation: Despite being surrounded by Kindred, Anastasia might feel a profound sense
of isolation, underscored by her unique situation with Valentine. Can she be a part of this?

Location: The Cathedral of Echoes is a kind of an elysium for vampires, where they can meet and socialize, or
hunt and feed safely for a price. So, there are always a few vampires present.

Action: When Anastasia enters, her music starts to play her past performance, a psychological manifestation of
her power. This causes confusion but the DJ then takes advantage of this haunting and creates cool tunes to stir
the party. Later, she tells others about the paranormal phenomenon.

Valentine immediately senses Anastasia and reaches out telepathically, guiding her childe through the hunting
ground, challenging her to hunt or display her powers. In the end, he invites her to him.

 Facing American Psycho level indifference to her existence "Oh cool… thought you went to Malibu" or
"Nice tan"
 Investigating the paranormal phenomenon

o The hunchback of the Echo – Tiego: Spots Anastasia, interested in the echo of her
performance, wants to protect musicians.
o Hamilton Sims: Business-like, but insecure and jealous when learning that Anastasia is
Valentine’s childe.
o The blood vessel DJ Alison Lee – “So you are the same as Valentine…” and she knows
rumors about the disappearance of musicians.
 Just dancing… "Look at how confident you are, how happy you are… even vampires covet that because
they are miserable…"

Haunting Melody: When Anastasia revisits The Echo and feels the echoes of her past, roll Humanity. On 3+,
the haunting music imbues her with a sense of purpose, granting her a temporary point of Will. On 2 minus, the
memories are bittersweet, offering a clue to her powers but also inflicting 1-harm (emotional): The music is
coming from her, it’s her heart’s song. On a miss, the past overwhelms her, and she must keep it together or act
out, potentially revealing her vampire nature.

Daeva Song: If Anastasia decides to perform at The Echo, leveraging her Toreador affinity for art, she rolls
Cha+Performance. On a 3+, her performance entrances all Kindred present, making them more amenable to her
requests. On a 2-, she draws attention, both wanted and unwanted. On a miss, the Beast within stirs too close to
the surface, threatening to break the Masquerade.

Death Resonance: When Anastasia goes to the back room, she senses the emotional residues of her death and
rebirth in The Echo, she automatically rolls a Rouse check. She gains a clear vision of what happened that night,
gaining some information otherwise unattainable: Roland’s name and address in the contract.
