INTRODUCTION

The integration of electronic wallets (e-wallets) into the financial landscape has
revolutionized transactional convenience and efficiency. Amongst college students, who often
contend with financial constraints and diverse monetary requirements, the adoption of e-wallets
may hold particular significance. This quantitative study aims to scrutinize the advantages
derived from the usage of e-wallets among Diliman College students. This study provides an in-
depth analysis of the benefits brought using E-Wallets to Diliman College students. Researchers
will supply statistical results using surveys and questionnaires. Researchers aim to give a range
of benefits, conveniences and uses such as online banks, G-cash, PayPal. E-wallet stands for an
electronic wallet. It is a type of electronic card for online transactions through a computer or a
smartphone. A digital wallet is an electronic device that stores all your payment details in one
location. They can make it safer and simpler for you to make cashless purchases online and in-
store. They eliminate the need for carrying the physical wallet to make payments. They are easier
to use and offer a fast mode of transaction. You can send money to anyone anywhere and at any
time with the help of digital wallets.

METHODOLOGY

Researchers used Quantitative method. The research study will be conducted using an
observational method, surveys, and interviews. In the observational method, researcher used the
PO or the Participant Observation that help the researchers to put their selves into the
participants’ shoes as consumers and business owners. By using surveys and interviews in
research study, Researchers can gather the answers, data, or information that needs for study
easily and quickly. The methods mentioned above will help analyze the behavior of the
customers and buyers through E-wallet apps and how they utilize them to buy and pay for their
transactions. Diliman College students at Diliman College, Quezon City are the study's
respondents. Year of Calendar 2021-2022. Maximum of 40 respondents being the researchers'
goal. The survey is a structured questionnaire for the target audience to know the effectiveness of
the research. Researchers will be using google forms as it is easier nowadays to conduct the
survey instead of handing out hard-copy surveys, and it is also more accessible due to the
pandemic.

RESULTS

The results indicate a strong preference for e-wallets among Diliman College students,
with convenience and security being key drivers of adoption. The shift away from physical cash
towards digital payments reflects broader trends in financial technology. These findings suggest
that e-wallets play a significant role in improving financial management practices among college
students. Of the respondents, 68% acknowledged active utilization of e-wallets. Key benefits
reported by users included convenience (84%), security (72%), and improved financial tracking
(62%). Moreover, 79% of e-wallet users noted a reduction in carrying physical cash, while 63%
experienced decreased transaction times in comparison to traditional payment methods.
DISCUSSION

The outcomes illustrate a notable inclination towards e-wallets among Diliman College
students, with convenience and security emerging as primary drivers for adoption. The trend
away from physical currency towards digital transactions reflects broader advancements in
financial technology. These findings underscore the significant role of e-wallets in augmenting
financial management practices among college students. E-wallets offer numerous advantages,
including enhanced convenience by eliminating the need for physical cash or multiple cards, as
well as improved security through password or biometric authentication.

The research aims to prioritize safety within the campus community, particularly for
students and staff, amidst the pandemic. The adoption of e-wallets is seen as crucial in enhancing
safety protocols, allowing individuals to make payments for tuition fees and miscellaneous
expenses without physical contact, even from remote locations. This approach not only
streamlines transactions but also minimizes trust concerns, especially in dealings with unfamiliar
clients, through upfront payment policies. Moreover, the research seeks to broaden readers'
understanding of modern technology, emphasizing the importance of e-wallets like G-cash and
PayPal in addressing contemporary challenges.
