OBJECTIVES:
1.Listens perceptively to music of Dolores, Quezon;
2.Analyzes musical elements of song Dolores Hymn and instrumental pieces heard and performed;

Municipality of Dolores, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines.

The people of Dolores are naturally warm and friendly. They practice simple life that is devoted to their
beliefs and the family. The annual foundation day celebration of Dolores is commemorated with the
conduct of three activities; the cultural presentations, Street Party, and the highlight, the Hambujan
Festival. It features street dancing and ritual competition which should value the four major elements of
nature; wind, water, fire and earth.
Dolores ,Quezon has an official hymn which is Dolores Hymn. Dolores Hymn shall be sang during the
flag raising ceremony every Monday morning or other special occasions in all government units public
and private schools and the other entities of Municipality of Dolores. It is an ode expressing a praise or
adoration of a town where the hymn is intended to be sang.

Sa paanan ng bundok banahaw
ang bayan koy matatanaw
Reyna siya ng kabundukan
At hiyas ng kalikasan
Dolores ang kanyang pangalan
Ang bayan kong minamahal
Dolores giting nasubukan sa kanyang kasaysayan

Ang poong may kapal sa bayan koy gumabagay

Sa panalangin hangad ko ay kaunlaran
Pagkat makaDiyos itong ating bayan
Dolores ang siyang lupang tinubuan
reyna ng mahiwagang banahaw

Sa paanan ng bundok banahaw ang bayan koy matatanaw
