IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES
Candidates, who desire to represent against his/her Rejection/Provisionality in
accordance with criteria and modalities adopted for shortlisting the post, may submit the
same with substantive ground (s)/ reason(s) with attachments of documentary proof/s by
either Hand/Speed Post or e-mail (upsc.spc1@nic.in) immediately (latest by 31.03.2024),
failing which their candidature will be cancelled. The documents may be sent by Hand/Speed
Post to the Under Secretary (SPC-I), Room No. 3, Main Building, UPSC, Dholpur House,
Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110069. Thereafter, no further correspondence will be
entertained. All the representations/documents would be examined and if in any case, the
ground/reason indicated therein is found to be correct as per criteria and adopted modalities,
such applications would be shortlisted. Thereafter, revised and updated scrutiny details would
be uploaded in this space. No individual replies would be given to any of these e-
mails.

Essential Educational Qualification
Qualification
(i) Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a
compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a
compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than
Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective
subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR Master’s
degree of a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi or English,
with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the
medium of a examination at the degree level; OR Master’s degree of a
recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi
and English as compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a
medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at
degree level; and (ii) Diploma or Certificate course from recognized University
or institute in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years’
experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central
or State Government office including Government of India Undertaking.
Modalities adopted for scrutiny of the details of Essential Qualification for
Modalities calling the candidates for interview for the instant recruitment case is in
consonance with the Recruitment Rules and Essential Qualification as
mentioned in the Advertisement for the post.
