ACTIVITY: SELG ELECTION for SY: 2023-2024
Date: May 20, 2023
Venue: Nag-uma Elementary School

Description: Pursuant to Memorandum from the Office of the Undersecretary for Operations
(OUOPS) No. 2023-03 dated May 5, 2023, entitled Interim Guidelines of
Learners Government Program (LPG) for School Year 2023-2024, Nag uma
Elementary School conducted SELG Election last May 20, 2023 (Saturday). This
is to select new sets of officers for school year 2023-2024. This activity is very
important because of its purpose, pupils are able to practice their rights and it
reminds them of their duties and responsibilities as learners and leaders of the
school.

Objectives: The following were the specific objectives of the conduct of the activity:
 Exercise the rights, privileges, duties and responsibilities of the pupils.
 Enhance social awareness and promote social consciousness among
pupils.
 Undertake projects and activities that are beneficial to the pupils.

PRELIMINARIES Kindergarten and Grade 1 classroom was set as the precinct for the election.
Tables and chairs were arranged, tarpapels were hanged and voting paraphernalia
were prepared.

DESIGN AND  Hanging tarpapels in the school.


METHODOLOGY OF  Setting up the precinct.
THE EVENT  Pupils were arranged by 8 to make sure that the election will flow
smoothly.

MANAGEMENT AND Teachers made sure that pupils were arranged according to grade level to avoid
MONITORING delay or any inconvenience.
STRATEGIES

LOGISTICAL Nag-uma ES teaching force coordinated with the former SPG officers for the
ARRANGEMENTS successful conduct of the activity.
RESULTS

OUTPUT/S Pupils were able to understand the importance of voting wisely


SPG officers for SY 2023-2024 were identified.
INNOVATIONS/ Voting procedures were discussed properly so that pupils would know what they
INITIATIVE are going to do inside the voting precinct. Pupils were also reminded to vote
wisely and objectively.
PARTICIPANTS’ The pupils participated all throughout the activity
FEEDBACK Queries and comments of the pupils after the election were entertained
properly and accordingly

ISSUES AND There were only few concerns during the counting of votes since there were
CHALLENGES positions where the two candidates got the same score. However, the concerns
were eventually resolved.
NEW PLANNED Gave enough time to the pupils, especially the candidates, in doing their
