Conduct of Culminating Activity of the 2022 National Reading Month Celebration
The following were the specific objectives of the conduct of the activity:

The teachers were able to conduct activities which helps learners develop love for
reading through the use of various literary materials such as supplementary
Results: reading materials. The teachers had set up an accessible reading pantry for all
learners with a variety of reading books and materials. Selected Grade 6 pupils
were given the opportunity as well to read a story to Kindergarten, Grade 1 and 2
pupils. The pupils enjoyed the stories read to them.
Participants Active involvement of participants was evident during the activity. The pupils

Methodology: During the flag ceremony on the early date of November, the pupils were informed
about the National Reading Month Celebration and the activities that will be
undertaken. On the 28th day of November, the teachers had a short program for the
culminating activity of the National Reading Month Celebration which was hosted
by Mr. Conrad Malinog, Kinder,Grade 1&2 adviser. A short welcome message was
delivered by the school TIC, Mr. Bernardo J. Tahil Jr., In the morning, two selected
Grade 6 pupils in the name of Sanilyn Bnatulod and Darryl Mateo, read/shared a story to
the Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 pupils. The pupils had fun listening to the stories.
They were also amazed by the illustrations on the story books presented to them.
In the afternoon, the teachers had set up a reading pantry on their respective rooms
where pupils were given a time to read the books they like. There were also reading
materials made by the teachers which are appropriate to the reading level of the learners.
All of the pupils had a great time listening to stories and reading story books of their
choice.
Management of The activity was managed well by the teachers of Nag Uma Elementary School with the
the Activity: supervision of the Filipino and English Coordinators.
