And striking their breast, they say:
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
Then they continue:
therefore, I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,
all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

THE LITURGY OF THE WORD

A reading from the book of Sirach (Sirach 44: 1, 9-13)

Let us praise illustrious men, our ancestors in their successive generations

some have left no memory, and disappeared as though they had no existed, they are
now as though they had never been and so to, there children after them.
But here is a list of generous men whos good works have not been forgotten.
In their descendants there remains a rich inheritance born of them. Their
descendants stand by the covenants and, thanks to them, so do their children’s
children. Their offspring will last forever, their story will not fade.

Reader: The word of the Lord.

All : Thanks be to God.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 149: 1-6,

Response: The Lord takes delight in his people!
Sing a new song to the Lord,
His praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel rejoice in its maker,
Let Zion’s sons exult.

Let them praise His name with dancing

and make music with timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes delight in His people.
He crowns the poor with salvation

Let the faithful rejoice in their Glory,

shout for joy and take their rest.
Let the praise of God be on their lips:
This honour is for all His faithful

Gospel Acclamation: sung (Sing Alleluia)

PRESIDER: The Lord be with you.

ALL : And with your spirit.

PRESIDER: A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark (Mk 11: 11-
26)
ALL : Glory to you, O Lord.
After he had been acclaimed by the crowds, Jesus entered Jerusalem and
went into the Temple. He looked all round him, but as it was now late, he
went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
Next day as they were leaving Bethany, he felt hungry. Seeing a fig tree in
leaf some distance away, he went to see if he could find any fruit on it, but
when he came up to it he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season
for figs. And he addressed the fig tree. ‘May no one ever eat fruit from you
again’ he said. And his disciples heard him say this.
So they reached Jerusalem and he went into the Temple and began driving
out those who were selling and buying there; he upset the tables of the money
changers and the chairs of those who were selling pigeons. Nor would he
allow anyone to carry anything through the Temple. And he taught them and
said, ‘Does not scripture say: My house will be called a house of prayer for all
the peoples? But you have turned it into a robbers’ den.’ This came to the ears
of the chief priests and the scribes, and they tried to find some way of doing
away with him; they were afraid of him because the people were carried away
by his teaching. And when evening came he went out of the city.
Next morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered to the
roots. Peter remembered. ‘Look, Rabbi,’ he said to Jesus, ‘the fig tree you
cursed has withered away.’ Jesus answered, ‘Have faith in God. I tell you
solemnly, if anyone says to this mountain, “Get up and throw yourself into the
sea,” with no hesitation in his heart but believing that what he says will
happen, it will be done for him. I tell you therefore: everything you ask and
pray for, believe that you have it already, and it will be yours. And when you
stand in prayer, forgive whatever you have against anybody, so that your
Father in heaven may forgive your failings too.’ But if you do not forgive,
your Father in heaven will not forgive your failings either.’

Priest: The Gospel of the Lord.

All : Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
(All be seated for the homily)

OFFERTORY SONG:

THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

4|Page
PRESIDER: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
for through your goodness we have received the bread we offer you:
fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
it will become for us the bread of life.

ALL : Blessed be God for ever.

PRESIDER: By the mystery of this water and wine

may we come to share in the divinity of Christ
who humbled himself to share in our humanity.

PRESIDER: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,

for through your goodness we have received the wine we offer you:
fruit of the vine and work of human hands,
it will become our spiritual drink.

ALL : Blessed be God for ever.

(The presider washes his hands then, all rise)

PRESIDER: Pray, brethren, that my sacrifice and yours,

may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father.

ALL : May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands

for the praise and glory of his name,
for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

Prayer over the offerings

O God who provide gifts to the offered
to your name and count our oblations
as signs of our desire to serve you with
devotion we ask of your mercy that
what you grant as the source of merit
may also help us to attain merits
reward through Christ our Lord.
ALL : Amen.

EUCHARISTIC PRAYER

PRESIDER: The Lord be with you.

ALL :And with your spirit.

PRESIDER: Lift up your hearts.

ALL :We lift them up to the Lord.

5|Page
PRESIDER: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

ALL :It is right and just.

PRESIDER: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal god.

For through the saving Passion of your Son

the whole world has received a heart
to confess the infinite power of your majesty,
since by the wondrous power of the Cross
your judgment on the world is now revealed
and the authority of Christ crucified.

And so, Lord, with all the Angels and Saints,

we, too, give you thanks, as in exultation we acclaim:

Sanctus: sung (Santo, Santo, Santo)

PRESIDER:You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.

Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,

by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,

so that they may become for us

the Body and (bless) Blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his Passion,
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
(he bows slightly)

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,

FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended,

he took the chalice and, once more giving thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:
(he bows slightly)

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,

FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.

DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

PRESIDER: The mystery of faith.

6|Page
Acclamation: sung (Dying you destroyed our death…)
PRESIDER:Therefore, as we celebrate
the memorial of his Death and Resurrection,
we offer you, Lord, the Bread of life
and the chalice of salvation,
giving thanks that you have held us worthy
to be in your presence and minister to you.

Humbly we pray
that, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ,
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world,
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
together with Francis, our Pope and Noel our Bishop
and all the clergy.

Remember also our brothers and sisters

who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
and all who have died in your mercy:
welcome them into the light of your face.
Have mercy on us all, we pray,
that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
with St. Joseph, her spouse, with the blessed Apostles,
and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life,
and may praise and glorify you
(he joins his hands)
through your Son, Jesus Christ.
(he takes the chalice and the paten with the host and raising both, he says)
THROUGH HIM, AND WITH HIM, AND IN HIM,
O GOD, ALMIGHTY FATHER,
IN THE UNITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
ALL GLORY AND HONOR IS YOURS,
FOR EVER AND EVER.
ALL : Dakilang Amen
