This letter serves, to inform you that | Neville Black has known Donna for over ten year: resided in the same commounity of Red Hill of which lam a member of the same community. Jamaica is ‘a homophobic country and treats persons who are lesbians and gays with different violent acts from moderate to very severe forms to persons who have different sexual orientations and have no option but to run away from their homes which is sometimes firebombs and their life isin extreme danger as they are considered an outcast. This extreme danger has become a part of Donna's life and that of her partner Colin after the affair between her and her'same-sex partner Shauna-ay's violent outburst, which then confirmed that she ‘was bisexual and she had to leave her country to live a peaceful and safe life. Also, there are no laws in Jamaica to protect anyone who Is gay or lesbian and therefore, their life is the most unpleasant as many seek refuge in inhumane conditions by living under bridges or abandoned areas and cannot live a ‘normal life. April 18, 2024 Lesbians and gays in my country Jamaica have no rights aad are living in the most unpleasant conditions in my country. Danna is known in the community as a bisexual. Since this revelation of her as a bi- sexual, her life has become a living hell as she has no support system because there are no laws in my country to protect her and other individuals lke herself. Donna had to flee her community of Red Hills which she had established herself in because of constant fear of her life. She was demonized and threatened with her life to leave the community which she did bbut there are no safe places for her as persons like her are living in inhumane conditions. Her house was also destroyed by persons who considered her an outcast even her own family had denounced her. | hope that she will be allowed to live a safe and productive life in Canada. Ifyou need further information please free to contact me at 1876-488-3905. Yours Truly, Teshena Watkin Saalkin
