Rainbow Gang
Organized Group for people with developmental disabilities
● Ages 17-72
● Participants are independent
● Located in Anderson, SC
We are riding the small bus:
● Leave OCA at 8 a.m. return at 3 p.m.
● Bring your lunch, drink and a snack if you’d like on on the bus!!
You will be interacting with the participants:
● Leading an activity called Handwriting For A Purpose
● Bible Bingo
● Bible puzzles
● Bible Word Searches- Print out and take
● Bring books with bible stories that students can read with group participants

We will meet in my room, do attendance and head out.

Serve Day Reflection:
In your journal write the word “SERVE” down the left hand side. After each letter write the word I have listed
for the letter. Then answer the prompt for each letter.

SCripture- What does Scripture say about serving? Please find 3 scriptures that discuss serving?
Explain- Explain how this scripture relates to how you and how you served today at the Rainbow Gang.
Reflect- This is a “personal reflection”: Describe a significant experience or interaction you had while
volunteering. How did this moment make you feel, and what did it teach you about compassion,
understanding, or patience?
Views- In what ways has working with disabled adults altered your views on disability and community
care? Did you find any part of your service challenging? Were you able to resolve this challenge how did it
make you feel after?
Evaluate- How would you evaluate this service experience, meaning, was it a valuable experience? Did
you feel like you made a difference? Why do you think serving those with disabilities is important?
