(1) Complex Engineering Problem Solving, and (2) Complex Engineering Activities
Part 1: Moderation

1. Course Code & Section: IPE 4000

2. Course Title: Project and Thesis

3. Supervisor: Dr. A.N. Mustafizul Karim

4. Semester: Spring 2023

5. Title of the Project: Prosthetic Arms Production: An Approach Allowing Customization

1. Brief Description of the Project:

Main Objective(s):
• To propose two different kinds of prosthetic arm designs, one for lightweight and another for heavy weight.
• For developing a material selection chart that provides a clear representation of the materials used to make prosthetic limbs.
• To Analyse the inventory management system to align demand and supply.
Research Findings:

Our study focused on enhancing prosthetic hand production through increased customization. By implementing adaptable design features and flexible
manufacturing processes, we achieved greater customization capabilities. This approach empowers users to tailor their prosthetic hands to their unique
needs and preferences, potentially improving functionality and user satisfaction.
