FINANCE AND COMMUNICATION AUDIT OFFICE, PATNA

Introduction:

Finance & Communication (F&C) (erstwhile Post & Telecommunications) Audit Office, Patna
is headed by the Deputy Director. This Branch Audit Office (BAO) functions under
administrative control of O/o The Director General of Audit, Finance & Communication Audit
Office, New Delhi.

Audit jurisdiction of this BAO covers the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. Different auditable
Units are as follows:
(i) Department of Post (DoP),
(ii) Department of Telecommunications (DoT),
(iii) Ministry of Communications as well as Ministry of Electronics & Information
Technology (MeitY)
(iv) PSU (BSNL)
(v) one Autonomous body (UIDAI)
(vi) This office has also been entrusted with Audit of PAOs of Bihar and Jharkhand.

This office follows the norms in Auditing Standard set by INTOSAI/ASOSAI and Manuals
etc. in the discharge of its functions.
