Dear Grade 11-Parent

The School Management Team of Hotazel College has decided that the ‘matric jacket’ which previous
Grade 12-learners had the privilege of wearing, will no longer be applicable due to various reasons.
Instead, the school has decided that our Grade 12-learners should present themselves in a way that firstly
would distinguish them as the seniors of the school but also in a more formal way (we would want them to
look like young gentlemen and ladies who are almost ready to stand their ground in the world of work).
Therefore, ALL Grade 12-learners will adhere to the following dress code:

Boys (summer and witner):

1. Black Chino long pants – no skinny. (Woolworths/ Mr Price/ Edgars/
Superbalist)
2. Black socks
3. White school shirt
4. Grade 12-tie
5. Grade 12-white pullover
6. School blazer
7. Black lace school shoes

Girls (summer):
1. Black A-line skirt (Length: on or just above the knee – PEP stores)
2. White school shirt
3. Grade 12-tie
4. Grade 12-white pullover
5. School blazer
6. White school socks with black school shoes
Girls (winter option):
7. In the winter – the girls wear black tights or black school pants that are
available at NC Signs Kuruman and Price City in Kuruman.

This dress code is the official Matric uniform.

The school will be very strict towards our Grade 12s being presented to the outside world as already
respectable, responsible and capable young people who are on the brink of being exactly what all
employers might want. Therefore, no exceptions will be accepted.
The school request our 2024-Grade 12-parents to support your child and the school in this matter.
