Intensifying screens:

Purpose of intensifying screens is to reduce the exposure time by intensification to achieve the
required density, avoid scattering radiations

Types:

1.Lead (mostly used)

2.Flourscent (high speed) (on salt screen)

3.Flourometallic (lead+salt)

0.10 mm thickness (commonly) 0.25 mm thickness(commonly)

Allows only primary beam to avoid back

Filters:

Purpose of filters is to filter the secondary scattered radiation

Radiography films
