I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Logan Powell. I have known this
capable, responsible, and dedicated young man for 18 months.

Logan has impressed me with his dedication and relentless pursuit to become an
educator and a positive role model for young people. He has a vision of helping
students to achieve their dreams and to aid them in becoming productive and reliable
members of society. Towards this end, he is enrolled in CWI to earn his associates
degree before transferring to BSU to complete his bachelor’s in education.

Logan realizes that practical application of teaching methodologies is crucial to

becoming the best teacher that he can be. To that end, he has voluntarily observed an
elementary classroom, and he recognized that special attention to one young student
could help this child from having a complete meltdown. Logan (with the teacher’s
approval) approached this student and talked him through the mental roadblock he had
erected. Not only does Logan seek the professional education needed to be an
outstanding teacher, as demonstrated above, he also has insight and problem-solving
skills that will help his classroom run more smoothly.

Logan will be an asset for any school district, and I whole heartily recommend him for a
position as a substitute teacher. He views subbing as an opportunity to grow and hone
his skills—always aiming to be better than he previously was in a challenging situation.
