According to Dr. Ralph Tyler, "Teaching is not just a job.

It is a human service, and it be thought of as a

mission"

My respect to our public schools district supervisor, Madam Nelia G. Nicolas, equally respected heads of
different schools, our dedicated and committed district L&D coordinator, my idol, Ma'am Luzel J.
Bartolay, of course gorgeous shapers of young minds, my fellow teachers, a pleasant afternoon!

Some people say that teaching is a noble profession, others say that it is only for people who is
knowledgeable enough to teach children and others say that it is done by someone who has an
authority.

Ma'am Nelsie Meriilo, One of my instructor in college said that teaching is not just a profession, it is also
a vocation and a mission . So it should be done with love, devotion, and commitment .

Teaching is a never ending process of self-improvement. We provide our student with expertise and high
quality education and as professionals, we are required to learn new things everyday and at all stages of
our lives. This may be daunting, but understanding the sense of professionalism and becoming a teacher
would serve as inspiration to continue our mission. Also technology and teaching methods vary
according to the needs of our students, so we must adopt and be versatile because change is the only
constant in this world. Every year and decade brings something new to learn and adopt to, if we do not,
we would have failed as professional educators. And we can do it in a smooth and subtle way, for we
teachers are considered as the most resourceful and creative professionals. Just like what our supervisor
said, Sa pasayunan lang kita, Didto kita sa pinakamasayon, Them as our heads and leaders in the
department are making all the efforts to make our work easier but effective. So we should also do the
same to our learners. Let us know them so that we can give appropriate learning strategies where they
can learn easily. Take the step by step process, Do not jump! Be patient! Start from easy to difficult,
from simple to complex. Use varied techniques and strategies and apply it in the simplest way we can.
One of the best quotes my adopted father Sir Henry Macabuhay, told me when I became a teacher
is"Learners go to school not to pass nor to fail, but to learn".

At the end of the day seeing our students competing the world, giving pride and honor to our country
and being successful and productive citizen is the greatest fulfilment for us teachers. And only then we
can say to ourselves: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Once again thank you and Good afternoon.
