Based on the article Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad has design and come up with new standard
operating procedures (SOP) for air traveler at airport and while on the boarding aircraft as
precautionary before or after their flights. This is to ensure the safety of passengers and airline
cabin crew while on this pandemic situation because of COVID19. According to the Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) for the transportation sector (aviation), all airlines must ensure
passengers in aircrafts are not seated next to each other by leaving an empty seat between them.
The SOP, which was shared in the National Security Council's (NSC) Telegram group today, stated
that the requirement applies to all airline companies operating domestic and international routes.

Before Departing
1. Before entering terminal building it is compulsory to wear a face mask at the airport.
Anyone that not wearing face mask will not be permitted to enter the terminal.
2. passengers with a valid flight ticket or boarding pass will be allowed to enter the
terminal. All meeters and greeters will not be allowed into the terminal.
3. All departing passengers will have to go through temperature screening before
being allowed to enter the terminal building. Passengers with a body temperature of
more than 37.5oC will not be allowed to continue their journey.
4. Passengers need to maintain 1- meter gap wherever there are in the terminal.
5. Passenger are advised to wash their hand as many times as possible before and
after their flight or use the sanitizers provided and placed at the terminal.

In Flight
Security Check-in
1. Airports have made proper security arrangements for screening the passengers;
follow the directions properly.
2. There should be no metal on your body to ensure smooth security screening.
3. Security staff has been directed to follow 'minimum touch' with an aim to ensure
social distancing and minimum physical contact
