4. Past Continuous – Talks about actions that were happening in the past and
finishing. /p
5. (Subject + verb to be (was/were) + main verb with “ing” + complement)
I was going out when my mother arrived.
6. Present Perfect - We don’t know when the action happened, but the action is in the
past.
(Subject + Aux. verb (have/has) + verb in past participle + complement)
I have cooked a lot this week.
9. Present Perfect Continuous – It’s an action the stared in the past but still continuous
in the present
(Subject + aux. verb have + verb to be present perfect simple + main verb with “ing”
+ complement)
I have been eaten when I received a call.
10. Past Perfect Continuous – Are action that started in the past before other actions
(Subject + aux. verb had + verb to be in past perfect + main verb with “ing” +
complement)
She had been reading a book.
