To Whom It May Concern,

Emma Rybicki has successfully completed her student teaching internship. She student taught
in a second grade classroom at Huron elementary in the Chippewa Valley school district and
had an extremely positive internship throughout her experience there. Emma is an exceptional
beginning teacher, as well as an intern who exhibited the traits of a “natural” educator.
I observed Emma to be reliable, organized, proactive and flexible, as well as a very dedicated,
talented, child centered educator. She is full of energy and demonstrates that she loves
teaching and interacting with students and others. She has also been very cooperative and hard
working. In addition to displaying highly developed instructional skills and abilities, Emma’s
demeanor is very professional and her extremely likeable personality is easily observed. She has
interacted exceptionally well with everyone.
Emma thinks critically and reflectively about her teaching and her thoughts always indicate a
desire to support the learning and nurturing of her students in a positive, developmentally
appropriate manner. She is extremely patient and displays a caring, understanding nature. She
“reads” her young students skillfully and consistently incorporates varied positive management
techniques. She is also capable of varying her voice-tone, volume and expression, a skill not
often observed with beginning teachers. In addition, she demonstrates very advanced and
creative skills using formative assessment techniques such as incorporating student signals
during lesson delivery.
Throughout her student teaching experience, Emma has completed her commitments to the
university, as well as to the educational community where she student taught, in an exceptional
manner. She has consistently demonstrated her commitment to becoming an excellent teacher
and has been a very enjoyable intern to work with.
Emma’s interactive teaching style is impressive to observe. She very capably uses instructional
time well and has been very effective in all areas of classroom instruction, creating lesson
materials with a high level of student involvement and kinesthetic activity. Her lessons are
creative, child centered and very well done. In addition, she paces lessons well, planning and
delivering lessons which incorporate a great deal of technological support for learning. She is
eager for suggestions to further enhance her already very advanced teaching skills and quickly
incorporates these new techniques and approaches. Emma quickly began doing an excellent job
teaching independently at a very early stage of her internship experience.
Emma Rybicki is an exceptional beginning teacher. She displays a caring, enthusiastic, yet
calm demeanor and has demonstrated the ability and the talent to make outstanding
contributions in the field of education. She would be a wonderful asset to any school staff. It is
without reservation that I highly recommend Emma for a teaching position.

Sincerely,

Madeline M. Stewart
