Message Power up Your Campus with
Auto-Evaluation
For the last two decades, E-Box has been at the forefront of
auto-evaluation and learning automation. Initially, the
company viewed engineering education as the study of
designing and analyzing systems, whether it be computer,
machinery, electrical/electronic, or biological systems. It is
vital in engineering education to verify if a student's system
design meets the given requirements and to assess their
comprehension of the concept.
Moreover, evaluating the student's ability to apply the

acquired knowledge in creating novel systems, machines, and
constructions is also necessary. However, every course
includes specific exercises to be practiced by the students to
gain the required knowledge and skills. Sadly, regulatory
bodies such as AICTE/UGC or Universities/Colleges in India
have not conducted extensive research on the science of
learning engineering. They have merely worked on abstract
curriculum or syllabus levels without delving into the
delivery, transmission, or assimilation of each concept or
course. They have focused on the term OBE, and NAAC/NBA
have insisted on defining objectives for courses, assuming
that such definitions or a few regulations over the blooms
taxonomy model could accomplish it. Nonetheless, this
approach has failed, and it's time for everyone to focus on the
science of higher education.
In contrast, E-Box has been researching the science of higher

education, tech-skilling, and engineering applications to build
a comprehensive framework for intricate auto-evaluations.
The intricate auto-evaluation enables continuous monitoring
of students/trainees and provides personalized attention to
every concept and topic they are learning. Human teachers
cannot achieve this on a large scale. Even for a class of 60
students, it is impossible for human teachers to drive a
practice-oriented approach, wherein students solve hundreds
of engineering and technology problems, and subsequently
evaluate them manually. But practice-oriented approach is
essential for students to learn and develop the required skills.

automation that can power up your campus. It's time for
educational institutions to be more responsible and logical
and not continue to provide sub-standard engineering
education to our Indian youth. Let's understand the science of

PAPER PUBLICATIONS
We are thrilled to announce a major achievement from our Principal,

Dr. K.Srinivasan! His research paper titled "Swarm based Support Vector
Machine optimization for protein sequence-encoded prediction" has
been accepted for publication in the prestigious International Journal of
Data Science and Analytics (IJDSA).
Dr. K. Srinivasan submitted his paper in February 2023, and after a

rigorous peer-review process, it received the green light for publication on
April 9, 2024. This acceptance is a testament to the high quality and
significance of Dr. K.Srinivasan's research.
The IJDSA is a leading international journal that publishes research

on data science and analytics. Being published in this journal reflects the
innovative nature of Dr. K. Srinivasan's work, which explores the use of
swarm intelligence to optimize support vector machines for protein
sequence prediction. This has the potential to be a valuable tool in various
fields, such as bioinformatics and drug discovery.

Introduction
Sudharsan Engineering College, hosted "Top Designers' 24," a
prestigious National-level design competition open to all Engineering
colleges. This event, held on April 15, 2024 brought together brilliant
Engineering minds from the Electronics and Communication Engineering
(ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) departments to
compete for design supremacy.
Event Details
The program began with a morning registration session. Following

that, an inauguration ceremony introduced the event and provided
participants with a chance to ask questions. A 45-minute practice session
allowed students to familiarize themselves with the basic competition rules
and circuit connections. After a brief tea break, the main event, the "Top
Designer Competition," kicked off, lasting for 2 hours. Students tackled
various design challenges related to control systems, digital electronics and
analog circuits.

Following a lunch break, the valedictory function commenced. The

ceremony began with a traditional Tamil invocation (Tamil Thai Vazhthu)
and the lighting of the Kuthuvilakku (auspicious lamp). Dr. K. Srinivasan,
the principal, delivered a welcome address. The event's importance was
highlighted in the presidential address by Shri. K. Vijay Kumar, Chairman.
Dr. K. Chitra, HOD/EEE, elaborated on the Top Designers' event and its
purpose.

Recognition and Conclusion

A key highlight of the event was the award ceremony. Dignitaries
presented certificates, cash prizes, and awards to the winning participants.
Dr. K. Chitra HoD/EEE delivered the vote of thanks, expressing her
gratitude to all participants, faculty members, staff members, and ECE and
EEE students who contributed to the event's success, playing a vital role in
various aspects. Feedback from participants was collected to improve future
iterations of the competition. The event concluded with the singing of the
National Anthem, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

The IIRS Outreach Program on Aditya-L1 aimed to educate faculty

members from Sudharsan Engineering College on India's first space-based
observatory, Aditya-L1. This week-long live course equipped participants
with knowledge about the observatory's mission, scientific objectives,
instrumentation, and data analysis techniques.
