Greetings!

I am writing on behalf of the Philippine Science High School Alumni to propose a High
School Entrance Exam / National Competitive Examination (NCE) Review for elementary
graduating pupils in Lambunao. Our alumni association is committed to supporting educational
initiatives that promote academic excellence and provide opportunities for deserving students to
further their education.

The proposed review program aims to help Lambunao elementary graduating pupils with
potential especially the underprivileged and those in remote communities or barangays to enter
a good high school with scholarships (e.g. Philippine Science High School, UP High School, West
Visayas State University High School, Iloilo National High School, etc.).

By offering review sessions, study materials, and guidance from experienced educators
and alumni, we hope to equip these students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel
in the exam and secure a spot in the prestigious institution.

Our alumni association has a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community
and supporting young talents in their educational pursuits. We believe that by investing in the
education of these students, we can help unlock their full potential and pave the way for a
brighter future.

We are seeking your support and collaboration in organizing and implementing this
review program for the benefit of Lambunao elementary graduating pupils. Your partnership will
be instrumental in ensuring the success of this initiative and making a positive impact on the
lives of these students.

We look forward to discussing this proposal further and exploring ways to work together

 High School Entrance Exam / National Competitive Examination (NCE) Review

What: Review for Lambunao Elementary graduating students

When: August to September 2024 (4 to 6 sessions during weekends)

Goal: To help students with potential especially the underprivileged and those in remote
communities or barangays to enter a good high school with possible scholarships (Philippine
Science High School, UP High School, West Visayas State University High School, Iloilo National
High School, etc.)

Mentors: Philippine Science High School Alumni (at least 2 to 3 mentors per review session)

Venue: TBA

I. Initial Screening: Written Exam for all applicants (To invite all elementary graduating students
of Lambunao)

II. Second Screening: Interview of top 60 students from the written exam

III. Select 30 students for the review from 60 students.

Schedule

 1st Weekend:
 Saturday Morning: Initial Screening (8am — 11am) — First Batch
 Saturday Afternoon: Initial Screening (1:00pm — 4:0pm) — 2 nd Batch
 Checking of papers
 Sunday Morning: Interview of top 60 students (8am to 11am)
 Sunday Afternoon: Finalize 30 students for the review
 Review Sessions (4 Saturdays):
 9am to 4pm

Proposed Budget:

First Weekend (Initial Screening) — for 200 students

 Test Papers for all students — (₱30 per student)

 Snacks for all students - (₱50 per student)
 Lunch & Snacks for Mentors & facilitators.

Review Sessions (4 Saturdays): ₱15, 000 per session (for 30 students)

 Printing of materials (modules, activity sheets, other learning materials) —₱
