READINGS IN THE PHILIPPINE HISTORY

1. What is the importance of studying history?

- because studying history help us understand how event in the past made
things the way they are today. With the lessons in the past, we not only
learn about ourselves and how we came to be, but also develop ability to
avoid mistakes and create better paths for our societies.
2. What is your understanding about studying history?
- it is the knowledge and studying in the past. And it is the study to
compare what is in the past and in the future. For example, we can
compare our technology of the past. We can see the change in technology
by studying its history and growing even more
3. How history plays an important role in our present society
- We may become better educated citizens by studying history.it reveals
our collective identity. though informed discussions and the strengthening
of fundamental values this information encourages people to participate
actively in the political arena. History promotes patriotism and enhances
responsible citizenship . the example for this is our National heroes who
give their lives for the freesom of our country. So that they can be our role
for our country to grow and prosper, as Rizal said: “Ang Kabataan ang
Pagasa ng Bayan”, so history plays a huge role in our society so that we can
learn from the past that will guide us in development
