THE IMPORTANCE

OF

WATER

Water is the source and sustainer of all life on our planet.

INTRODUCTION
Water is one of the resources most present in living
beings. It is not only the need to drink, to hydrate
oneself, but it is also the regulator of terrestrial
ecosystems, maintaining the balance necessary for
animal and plant subsistence. Among its functions, it
is a true natural regulator of the climate. Without
water, this stability would be weakened.

The importance of water for the human being is

evident, since the percentage of water in our body
almost reaches two thirds. It is present in body
tissues and vital organs. It is a fundamental element
for vital bodily processes. Without drinking water we
could not survive more than three or four days.
Water in the
world
There are about 1.4 billion cubic kilometers of water
on the planet, of which 2.5% is freshwater, located
mainly in rivers, lakes, glaciers, ice sheets and
aquifers (UNEP-GEMS, 2007). Of the total freshwater,
about three-quarters is contained in glaciers and ice
sheets, the majority (97%) in Antarctica, the Arctic
and Greenland Surface waters (lakes, reservoirs,
rivers, streams and wetlands) retain very
heterogeneously less than one percent of the
unfrozen freshwater: the world's lakes alone store
more than 40 times what is contained in rivers and
streams (91 000 vs. 2 120 km³) and about nine times
what is stored in marshes and wetlands.
Water in Mexico
As of February 28, 2023 in Mexico,
50.16% of the country had
moderate to extreme drought
conditions, according to Conagua
data. The most affected region is
the northwest, which includes
Nuevo León and Tamaulipas, with
91.4% of its surface with
moderate to extreme drought.

Water in Puebla
Puebla has serious cases of
contamination in the Atoyac and
Alseseca rivers, resulting from
wastewater discharges from the main
economic activities such as services
and, fundamentally, industry in its
different branches.
Water in my comunity
In my community of Acatzingo, water is
one of the most scarce resources. The
municipal presidency is in charge of this
issue since it is responsible for ensuring
that the entire community has water. A
year ago a new well was built, with a
capacity of approximately 36 liters per
second, and to date it is still in the process
of being rehabilitated so that the entire
municipality can make use of this liquid.

MY PROYECT
My project is designed so that the water
that we commonly use can be put to other
uses through different ways, to do this we
can filter the water for consumption, it
could also be to boil the water for
consumption, but before that it would
have to be filtered.
My proposal would be that the tap water
used to wash the dishes that is already
contaminated by food waste be adapted
to the toilet so that the water used to
clean and dispose of fecal waste is the
water from the dishes and thus not waste
water.
CONCLUSION
As we were able to realize that water is an
essential liquid for life, and that there are
ways to conserve water so that in the future
it does not harm future generations of
scarcity. That is why we must be aware of the
unnecessary consumption that we are giving
it and its misuse. We live in a society in which
we believe that water will not run out but we
are wrong because until something happens
to us we will act consciously and we will make
a change and we can do it now and have a
life with water.

Water proposals to
make them law
The steps to follow for an initiative or
decree to become a law consist of: having a
law initiative, discussing it, approving and
sanctioning it, publishing it and finally, its
entry into force.

I wrote two water proposals to make it a law, because in

the world we live in, the water problem is a factor to live,
in the future when there really is no more water, will be
when people will begin to act to save themselves and the
little water that is left. We can avoid that in the future
and from today implement new laws that support the
uses of water and that if these are not complied with,
they will be sanctioned.
PROPOSALS

EACH HOUSEHOLD WOULD

HAVE A LIMIT OF WATER
TO USE, SO WE WOULD ALL
HAVE TO SET A WATER
LIMIT AND DISTRIBUTE IT.

Adapt in most homes the mechanism

of the connection of the toilet to the
dishwasher in order to take
advantage of the dishwasher water
in something that commonly wastes
clean water around there.
