issues on the next paragraphs. Cite the trends and the gaps.

Rationale. This is the last part of your introduction. In connection with the local issues, discuss the
reason why the researcher will delve into the issues/topic. Cite the role of the researcher on this

issues/topics and why it is important for the researcher to conduct a study on such issues/topic. State
your aims. 500 words.)

Theoretical Background

Theories

(Insert introductory paragraph before you cite your theories).

(Use three to four theories that will serve as your foundation/bases. Write title and author of theories.
Write one or two paragraphs to define the theory.

these, you will find trends and gaps with the present studies. Find them on google scholar. When
discussing with the related studies, give a little summary and discuss the findings of the studies.

Research Flow

(The research flow will serve as the visual map of your study. Look at other studies at the library and
see how others did it. This will occupy one page. This will be your Figure 1.)

THE PROBLEM

Statement of the Problem

(This will include your problem statement and your research questions. The problem statement states
your aims for this thesis. This should be consistent with your title. *Must jive with the title.

Your Research Questions will guide the Research Process. You will answer your RQs. You can
check other thesis works for guidance.)

Null Hypotheses/Assumptions

(This will be the negative statement of your RQ.)

Significance of the Study

(Who will benefit this study? State first the ones who are directly benefitted.)

Scope and Delimitation of the Study

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Design

(What is your methodology; what approach; what type of research are you going to embark? Discuss
the type of instrument, if there’s any. Discuss the type of analyses you are you going to use. What
type of sample technique are you going to use.)

Subjects/Respondents/Participants

(Discuss in detail who your subjects, respondents or participants.)

Environment

(This is your locale. State vital information such as the barangay where it’s located; distance from the
town proper. If it’s a school, for example, share the population of the students and teachers. Do not
include the history of the school and other details that are not essential anymore.

Instrument

(The tools used. Cite who designed it.)This refers to the questionnaire you are using in your research
paper.

Data Gathering Procedure

(Discuss the phases of your study. See example below)

6

Phase 1. Approval of the Conduct of the Study. (A letter request for the approval of the
conduct of the study was made and signed by the researchers and noted by the subject teacher.
Then it was sent to the School Principal of VTVHS to formally conduct the survey.)

Phase 2. Conduct of the Survey. (The questionnaire was administered to the respondents

Phase 3. Data Mining. The blah blah blah.

Statistical Treatment (if quantitative)

(Present your findings here according to the flow of your thesis problem and questions. Discussions
must be placed after the tables.)

CHAPTER III

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

(Discuss the summary of findings here. In your conclusion, relate it to your theories, RRL and RS.
