 Understanding of the difference between individual, peer, and

institutional cpd tools and options:
 Individual CPD tools and options: These are resources or activities that an individual can
engage in independently to enhance their professional development. Examples include
online courses, self-study materials, books, podcasts, and webinars.

 Peer CPD tools and options: These are resources or activities that involve collaboration or
interaction with colleagues or peers to support professional growth. Examples include peer
coaching, mentoring programs, study groups, feedback sessions, and peer review.

 Institutional CPD tools and options: These are resources or activities provided or
supported by an organization or institution to facilitate the professional development of its
members. Examples include workshops, conferences, in-house training programs,
collaborative projects, and leadership development programs.

A tool can belong to multiple categories. For example, a mentoring program can be considered
both a peer and institutional CPD tool, as it involves interaction with colleagues (peer) and is often
organized or supported by an organization (institutional). Similarly, workshops can serve as both
peer and institutional CPD tools, as they involve group learning among colleagues (peer) and are
often organized by the organization (institutional).
