The course analyzes Philippine history from multiple perspectives through the lens of
selected primary sources coming from various disciplines and different genres.
Students are given opportunities to analyze the author’s background and main
arguments, compare different points of view, identify biases and examine evidences
presented in the document. The discussions will tackle traditional topics in history and

Final Examination

Assessment System and Performance Standards Performance Criteria:


For the activities and outputs such as reflection, reaction, analysis and term papers, a Quiz (may come in the form of chapter or topical quizzes) 30%
specific rubric will be used in order to assess the work of the students. All the works
Class participation (recitation, output, journal, portfolio) 30%
of the student will be compiled at the end of the course to be able to have their
portfolio. Major Examinations (midterm and finals) 40%

In order to pass this course, student should have a final grade of 3.0 or better. Total 100%

Class Policies:

● For the students who will attend residential classes they must follow the guideline, protocols and policies provided by the Marinduque State College and the IATF for
Covid-19 safety precautionary measures.

● For all assessments, academic honesty always applies. Any form of cheating that is, caught-in- the-act, will be penalized by getting a grade of 5.0 especially for Quizzes
and Major Exams.

● Submission of all activity outputs on time shall be observed. Any submission beyond the given deadline will have a corresponding grade of 3.0. A standard format for all
