Currently, there is a school of thought that assumes social isolation is on the progress of booming because

of the utilization of social networking as well as online communication. I disagree with this viewpoint.

To commence with, I would reckon social media platforms can be a life raft (metaphor) for those
struggling with loneliness, especially introverts. Specific online forums and groups can be lifelines for
those grappling with social anxiety. Here, introverts can feel more comfortable reaching out and finding
support from like-minded individuals. This fosters a sense of community and belonging that transcends
physical limitations.

Furthermore, I hold a firm belief that social media can replace face-to-face interaction, a
cornerstone of meaningful connection. (rhetorical question). While video calls can bridge
geographical divides, can a digital chat truly replicate a shared laugh or the comfort of a hug?
Overreliance on online interaction can weaken essential social skills needed to navigate real-world
relationships, potentially leading to increased isolation.

However, social media also causes several consequences, which is why there are some who might
suggest (weaseled) that it causes social crickets offline (stereotype). Even though using online
interaction could foster connection, overreliance on it can weaken essential social skills needed to
navigate real-world relationships, potentially leading to increased isolation.

Overall, there may be specific reason why social media leading to social isolation, however, I am fully
against them.
