PRELIM REQUIREMENT

A. NAME OF PRODUCT

M23 Bolts (Anti-Theft)

B. PURPOSE OF THE PRODUCT

This anti-tamper screw has a sophisticated pin system and a torque counter-sunk head that makes it
impossible for unauthorized people to undo the screw. By using special equipment, authorized people
may access the screw, safeguarding your goods against theft, tampering, and vandalism.

These security bolts, anti-theft bolts, and anti-theft bolts have a special shear-off feature that provides
a permanent tamper-proof fastening, protecting your items from theft and vandalism. I designed this
specifically for the plate number of cars. Nowadays, the percentage of cars being stolen, and plate
numbers being changed is very high. This can help prevent that kind of situation to happen and at the
same time, it’s for the safety of everyone who owns a car. This can also be used for motorcycles.

C. DETAILS OF THE PRODUCT

An anti-theft bolt nut features a hexagonal head with a narrow neck and a threaded portion that is
covered in a conical form, and it is composed of mild steel, stainless steel, or high tensile steel. Shear
bolts known as anti-theft bolts are employed in a variety of fields where strong, long-lasting security
fastening is necessary, such as fencing, defense technology, solar and energy systems, and the
aerospace sector.

The combination of anti-theft bolts and nuts provides defense against intentional harm, theft, and
tampering thanks to a special shearing-off mechanism that causes the hexagonal portion of the
fasteners to separate when the maximum torque limit is exceeded. High-quality raw materials and
precise engineering are used to create M23 Fasteners’ outstanding Anti-Theft Bolts with Nuts, which
are produced to meet the exact specifications of clients. This set of bolts and nuts guarantees the life
safety of the product and is perfect for situations where maintenance is not necessary. As a result, it
provides a longer service life and is anti-corrosive, ensuring a fit-and-forget solution that has proven
reliable over time.

D. DETAILED WORKING DRAWING OF THE PRODUCT (AUTOCAD/SOLIDWORKS)

Here are 5 examples of my design for Anti-Theft Bolts for plate numbers for cars and motorcycles.

C. NUT MANUFACTURING PROCESS

A nut is a wire rod made of metal with a hole through it that is used for fastening. The makeup of a
nut's raw metal determines its quality. Carbon (0.22 to 0.23%), phosphorus (0.40%), manganese (0.39
to 0.60%), and sulfur (0.50%) are the suggested compositions. The fundamental process of
manufacturing is pushing unheated metal through dies to modify its form. The wire rod is then attached
to a forming machine (FM) for straightening after being cleaned and treated. The rod is then chopped
to the required size for manufacturing nuts using a cutting machine. The pieces are then moved to a
hydraulic hammer mechanism where they are heated up to 1200° C and given the most popular
hexagonal form. The nuts are then concurrently threaded and drilled into a drilling and threading
machine with a regulated lubrication system to minimize wear and strain. The final nuts are now baked
for roughly an hour at 870°C. This procedure provides nuts with the necessary strength. They are then
delivered to the galvanizing section after being quickly chilled in an oil chamber for around five minutes.
Between the intermediate step, a variety of conveyors and sensors are utilized to move the material
and regulate the process, respectively.

D. NUTS &BOLTS GALVANIZING PROCESS

Metallic zinc is applied to steel surfaces during the galvanizing process to provide a long-lasting,
abrasion-resistant coating. Zinc's sacrificial function safeguards the structures even in cases of slight
coating damage or discontinuity. The hot dip galvanizing procedure is applied here. The creation of a
solid connection between steel and its zinc coating is one of the most significant benefits of the hot
dip galvanizing process. There are five distinct steps throughout the entire procedure. Caustic
cleaning, fluxing, galvanizing, water quenching, and final inspection are those processes. After the
caustic cleaning and fluxing processes, water is rinsed off the parts.
