Lack of efficacy
A man [age not stated] exhibited lack of efficacy during treatment with naltrexone , acamprosate, disulfiram and gabapentin
for alcohol use disorder [routes and dosages not stated].
The man, who had alcohol use disorder, was hospitalized due to gastrointestinal bleeding and acute kidney injury. He had
been receiving naltrexone, acamprosate, disulfiram and gabapentin along with unspecified multiple psychiatric medications
simultaneously as an outpatient. His regimen ultimately failed to prevent multiple episodes of returning to alcohol use and serious
medical complications. Thus, lack of efficacy to naltrexone , acamprosate, disulfiram and gabapentin was considered.
