Material of BARTEC coupler and compliance on bar grade 80

Dear Sir,

We would like to clarify that the BARTEC couplers are made of steel grade 20 as per GB/T699
which is equivalent to grade 1020 as per ASTM A576, and the identification of coupler is fully
traceable to the materials used. The marking on coupler circumference is shown as the
following figure.

We also hereby confirm that the BARTEC couplers assembled with bar grade 80 comply with
ACI 318-19 clause 25.5.7.1 where the tensile strength shall be at least 1.25fy of the bar.
