Instructions:
1. Read this case study:
On September, 1 you have started working as a teacher in a highly complex public high school with three
ESO lines and two Batxillerat lines, in a large city. You have a 1 year full-time job appointment.
The school educational project is up-to-date and shared among members of the school community. For
the past five years, an interdisciplinary project is carried out in ESO1, ESO2 and ESO3. This
cross-curricular project takes up three 1-hour periods per week. Likewise, the school participates in the
STEAMCAT innovation program since the 2021-2022 school year.
You teach English in ESO1, ESO2 and Batxillerat2. You are also one of the teachers in charge of the EOS1
interdisciplinary project. In addition, you are the main teacher (tutor) of the ESO1-B class. In the ESO1-B
class there is a boy with autism who benefits from the support of the school SIEI resource. In the month
of January a new student arrives, a girl from China who can barely speak English. She is now learning to
speak Catalan.
2. Reflecting on everything you have learned in the Educational Framework course module, specify, at a general
level, which relevant elements you must consider during this first year of work at the school. To do so, follow
these steps:
a. FIRST. Identify the relevant elements that you want to select based reflecting on:
i. What context elements must you consider for your lesson plans?
ii. How do you coordinate with other teachers or staff members? When is this coordination most
needed and why?
iii. What do you need to take into account as the ESO1-B tutor?
b. SECOND. Communicate your reflection in an infographic.
c. THIRD. Record a short video (3-minute tops) to explain steps 1 & 2. Your explanation must not just detail
the content of the infographic, but present the most essential elements of the analysis that you carried
out.
