Our Purpose To inspire the limitless potential in every girl.

In 2020, the Barbie brand increases its momentum to inspire the limitless potential in every girl. The next iteration of the
TM

You Can Be Anything campaign encourages girls to break boundaries and shatter glass ceilings.
TM

Following the 60th anniversary celebration, we’ve created new, impactful event activations to help energize your markets
and promote imagination, expression, and self-discovery. We’ve highlighted memorable firsts and brand milestones
while championing female empowerment to further girls’ beliefs that they can, and will, be anything they want.

Throughout the year, we will be providing the purposeful, inspiring content and products needed to power next-gen
imaginations. Everything we do and say will tie back to empowering girls including activations tied to key cultural moments
such as the Olympics and national elections. We will continue to encourage girls to chase their dreams because when a
girl plays with Barbie, she imagines everything she can become.

This section of the exhibit celebrates Barbie’s
past and meaningful historic moments.

On March 9, 1959, Barbie debuted at the New TM

York Toy Fair. The first Barbie wore a black and


white striped swimsuit and her signature ponytail.
Toy buyers were skeptical because Barbie was
unlike the baby and toddler dolls that were
popular at the time. They doubted she would be
successful, but Barbie took the world by storm.

Career Barbie Closet TM

Virtual Reality Experience


Girls get to try on a new career with this virtual reality
experience. They swipe to try on different outfits and
learn fun facts about that career. Once they pick a
career outfit, they can see themselves in that outfit. It
can also be a photo booth that captures their photo,
with a print for the girl to take home.

Interactive Experience
The closet wall itself is interactive. When a girl pushes
on an accessory, a sound related to the career will
play. For example, the astronaut hat will play “1-2-3-
lift off!” and the firefighter hat will play sirens.

Legal Guidelines for Trademark and Copyright Use


This Merchandising Guide is provided for the purposes stated herein to partners and customers of Mattel, Inc., 333 Continental Blvd., El Segundo, CA 90245 USA.

This Merchandising Guide contains Mattel, Inc. artwork, product logos, trademarks, icons, descriptions, merchandising schematics and configurations and related elements (the “Materials”) all intended to be used together to promote a consistent brand image in
the creation of retail display environments. Use and/or retention of the Materials constitutes acceptance of the entry into a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) to the following terms and conditions, so please read them carefully. If the terms and conditions
are not acceptable, then this Merchandising Guide must be immediately returned to Mattel (Marketing Communications), at the address stated above.

RIGHT TO USE MATERIALS


While this agreement is in effect, authorized users have the right to copy the materials in this Merchandising Guide for use solely in creating marketing and advertising materials for marketing and/or sale of Mattel, Inc. products pursuant to this Agreement, in
countries approved by Mattel, Inc.

Usage of the Materials pursuant to this Agreement is subject to the prior written approval of Mattel, Inc. Items submitted for approval should be sent to the attention of Marketing Communications of Mattel, Inc. at the address stated above. Upon submission for
approval, Mattel Inc. shall accept or reject within fourteen (14) business days or as otherwise directed by Mattel, Inc.

Any trademark markings shall not be deleted or otherwise changed. Copyright and the other legal legends on the material shall be as indicated in this Merchandising Guide or as otherwise directed by Mattel, Inc.

OWNERSHIP OF MATERIALS
Mattel, Inc. and/or their affiliates retain all title and right to the Materials in this Merchandising Guide (including all intellectual property rights and rights of ownership). Copying and use of the Material does not grant the user any right to the Materials apart from
the right to use for lawful and legitimate business purposes as provided herein.

CONFIDENTIALITY
The Materials in this Merchandising Guide are confidential and should not be disclosed or access given to any third party or to any employee, agent or contractor of the user (except those employees whose duties require access to such information). To protect
the confidentiality of such material, you agree to undertake the same steps and precautions utilized to protect the confidentiality of your own trade secrets and proprietary information. You further agree to promptly return the materials if requested by Mattel, Inc.

COPYRIGHTS AND TRADEMARKS


You should assume that everything you see or read in this Merchandising Guide is copyrighted and may not be used except as provided in these terms and conditions, without the written permission of Mattel, Inc. The use of these Materials by you, or anyone
else authorized by you, is prohibited unless specifically permitted by this Agreement. Any unauthorized use of the images may violate copyright laws, trademarks laws and other applicable laws regulations and statutes.

The trademarks, logos and service marks contained in this Merchandising Guide are registered and unregistered trademarks of Mattel, Inc. and/or its affiliates. Nothing contained herein should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppels, or otherwise any
license or right to use any trademark contained in this Merchandising Guide, except for the limited purpose of creating retail display environments for the marketing and sale of Mattel, Inc. products under this Agreement. Any use of the trademarks appearing in
the Merchandising Guide, except as provided herein, is prohibited.

TERMINATION
Mattel, Inc. reserves the right to terminate this Agreement in whole or in part, with or without a cause, at any time. Upon termination the user is required to delete or destroy all Materials and copies of Materials from this Merchandising Guide in their possession
and confirm such destruction in writing.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT


PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE ACCOMPANYING MATERIAL. IN CONSIDERATION FOR YOUR USE OF THE MATERIAL, YOU AGREE TO ABIDE BY ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (THIS “LIMITED LICENSE”).
As between you and Mattel or its affiliates (“Mattel”), the Material is owned exclusively by Mattel, and is licensed to you, not sold, solely for purposes of enabling you to view certain Mattel style guide material. The term “Material” means the software and all other content included on the
accompanying media and all whole or partial copies of it, in any form or on any medium, including portions merged into other materials. The Material is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and it includes executable code and A/V Content. The term “A/V Content”
means any image, text, recording, picture, or other audio or visual work contained within the Material.
1. LIMITED LICENSE. Mattel grants you a nonexclusive, revocable, limited license to view the Material and to:
A. use the Material on only one machine at any one time;
B. copy the Material only for backup;
C. in Mattel’s sole discretion, and with Mattel’s prior written approval in each instance as set forth in Section 6, copy certain images of Mattel products from this Material solely for use in creating, manufacturing, or advertising the Mattel-authorized products associated with the A/V Content,
in each case pursuant to and in compliance with a (separate) written license agreement entered into with Mattel and otherwise consistent with the high quality and goodwill of Mattel’s other products. You should know that certain items included in the A/V Content and certain portions of
the A/V Content may be subject to third party licenses that contain restrictions on the manner in which they can be used. For example, some products by Mattel included in the A/V Content may not be authorized for sale by Mattel outside of the United States or may not be advertised on the
Internet. It is your responsibility to ensure that your intended use complies with all relevant third-party rights and licenses, and to ensure that all applicable copyright, trademark, and other ownership notices are properly included in any advertisement, package, or other duly authorized item
related to the A/V Content. Any A/V Content so used may not in any way be modified, edited, or blended or combined with other image, text, recording, picture, or other audio or visual work or other materials (regardless of the source of such materials). You agree to indemnify Mattel from
any liabilities, losses, damages, and costs (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your use of the Material or any breach, directly or indirectly, by or through you, of this Limited License; and,
D. transfer all of your license rights in the Material to another party who is an authorized manufacturer of Mattel’s products, solely for the purposes of enabling them to view the A/V Content. To do so, you must transfer this Limited License, all other documentation included in this package,
and the complete, unaltered Material to the other party. As of such transfer, the rights licensed to you under this Limited License will automatically terminate and be transferred to the other party, who, in order to be a valid user of the Material, will then be subject to all of the terms and
conditions of this Limited License.
2. ADDITIONAL LICENSE RESTRICTIONS. This Limited License does not grant you or any third party any right to:
A. use, copy, or transfer the Material except as provided in this Limited License;
B. modify or adapt the Material and, in connection therewith, you may not modify any intellectual property or other notice within the Material;
C. reverse assemble, reverse compile, or otherwise reverse engineer or translate the Material;
D. sublicense, rent, or lease the Material, or install the Material on any network;
E. create, manufacture, advertise, or otherwise exploit any item included in or associated with the A/V Content; or
F. export the Material to any destination outside the United States.
3. OWNERSHIP; RESERVATION OF RIGHTS. As between you and Mattel, the Material will be and remains the exclusive property of Mattel. No right or license may be implied by estoppel or otherwise other than the rights and licenses expressly granted in this Limited License, and all rights not
specifically granted to you under this Limited License are reserved by Mattel.
4. CONFIDENTIALITY. The Material, which includes the A/V Content, constitutes the confidential and proprietary information of Mattel; provided that the A/V Content will not be deemed confidential to Mattel to the extent that it is released to the public without a breach of a duty of
confidentiality under any agreement or a violation of any trade secret or other similar law.
5. TERMINATION. Mattel may terminate your license (which means that all rights licensed to you under this Limited License terminate) for any reason at any time. In such an event, (a) you must immediately cease using the Material and all A/V Content, and (b) you must immediately destroy,
disable, or return to Mattel (at Mattel’s election and at your cost) all copies of the Material (including any A/V Content) within your possession or control. The foregoing right to terminate is in addition to and not in lieu of any other rights and remedies Mattel may have at law or in equity. All of
your obligations under this Limited License will survive any transfer of the Material or this Limited License or any termination of this Limited License.
6. RELATION TO OTHER AGREEMENTS. This Limited License does not supersede any other agreement or extend or evidence any other agreement you may have in writing signed by an officer of Mattel (such as a license agreement). In the event that any written agreement is entered into
between you and Mattel (signed by an officer of Mattel) with respect to the A/V Content for purposes of using or exploiting the A/V Content outside the scope of this Limited License, then your use and exploitation of the A/V Content will be governed exclusively by such other agreement,
including, without limitation, all Mattel approval rights, marketing standards, use restrictions, and channel restrictions contained therein. Nothing contained in this Limited License obligates Mattel, or may be construed as a Mattel commitment or inducement, to enter into any other agreement
with you or any third party.
7. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW; CHOICE OF LAW; ATTORNEYS’ FEES. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the Material. This Limited License will be governed by, and construed solely in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York without giving
effect to any principles of conflicts of law. You consent to and waive any objections to personal jurisdiction and venue in the federal and state courts located in Erie County, New York, and you agree that any action or proceeding relating to this Limited License will be filed and prosecuted only
in such courts. In the event of any action or proceeding
related to this Limited License, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover and will be awarded, in addition to any other relief awarded or granted, its costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) incurred in any such action or proceeding and any appeal in
connection therewith.
8. WAIVER OF ALL CLAIMS; LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; LIMITED REMEDIES; NO WARRANTIES. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS THAT YOU NOW HAVE OR MAY IN THE FUTURE HAVE AGAINST MATTEL IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR RECEIPT, DOWNLOAD, INSTALLATION, OR
USE OF THE MATERIAL, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY CLAIMS IN CONNECTION WITH: (A) DEFECTS OR VIRUSES IN, OR SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE MALFUNCTIONS CAUSED BY THE MATERIAL; AND (B) YOUR INFRINGEMENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY RIGHT. YOU HEREBY WAIVE
ANY CLAIM THAT THE FOREGOING WAIVER DEPRIVES YOU OF AN ADEQUATE REMEDY. IN NO EVENT WILL MATTEL’S LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES TO YOU OR ANY OTHER PERSON EXCEED THE PRICE PAID, IF ANY, FOR THE LIMITED LICENSE TO USE THE MATERIAL, REGARDLESS OF
ANY FORM OF THE CLAIM (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY CLAIM RELATED TO BREACH OF CONTRACT, INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR NEGLIGENCE). YOUR SOLE REMEDY FOR ANY DISSATISFACTION WITH, OR ANY DEFECT IN, OR ANY
INFRINGEMENT OR DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE MATERIAL, IS TO STOP USING THE MATERIAL. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, MATTEL WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY ACTUAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST
OR IMPUTED PROFITS OR OTHER SUMS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING IN ANY WAY TO THE MATERIAL OR THIS LIMITED LICENSE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU HAVE ADVISED MATTEL OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSS OR DAMAGE. MATTEL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT
THE MATERIAL IS BUG-FREE OR VIRUS-FREE OR THAT USE OF THE MATERIAL WILL BE ERROR-FREE. THE MATERIAL AND THE MEDIA ON WHICH THE MATERIAL IS RECORDED IS PROVIDED “AS-IS” AND NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION OR ADVICE GIVEN BY MATTEL OR ANY THIRD
PARTY MAY CREATE ANY WARRANTY OR ANY MODIFICATION TO THIS LIMITED LICENSE OF ANY KIND, AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-
INFRINGEMENT, ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.
