I. Program Overview
Bachelor of Information Engineering
Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada

Embark on a transformative journey with DEEIT’s International

Undergraduate Program (IUP), where the world is your
classroom and limitless opportunities await!

Commencing in 2010, the inception of the Information Engineering study program aimed
to address the sustained and increasing need for IT professionals. Right from its inception,
the program secured the highest national accreditation (Unggul). Over the years, it has
consistently upheld its esteemed reputation and attained international accreditation from
IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education). This global
accreditation ensures adherence to engineering standards within the curriculum. The
study program is currently implemented through Curriculum 2021, guiding students
towards three distinct career paths: Software Engineer, Network and Security Engineer, and
Data Engineer. These paths are delineated by elective courses, allowing students to tailor
their specialization according to their envisioned career post-graduation.

Global Perspective: Immerse yourself in a dynamic learning environment that

transcends borders. Our IUP is designed to cultivate a global mindset, connecting
you with international students. Through international collaborations, diverse
cultural events, and cross-cultural projects, you'll gain a deep understanding of the
interconnectedness of our global society.

Academic Excellence: At the heart of our IUP is a commitment to academic

excellence. Our distinguished faculty, comprised of leading experts in their fields,
will guide you through a rigorous and intellectually stimulating curriculum. From
groundbreaking research opportunities to hands-on projects, we empower our students to
think critically, solve complex problems, and excel in their chosen fields.

Language Opportunities: Break down language barriers and embrace a truly

multilingual education. The IUP offers language immersion programs, allowing you
to enhance your proficiency in multiple languages. Whether you dream of
negotiating in boardrooms worldwide or conducting research in diverse linguistic
landscapes, our program equips you with the linguistic skills to thrive in an interconnected
global community.

Seize Your Place on the World Stage!

Join us at IUP of DEEIT and become a global citizen equipped to tackle the challenges of
the future. Your journey to academic excellence, cultural understanding, and linguistic
mastery starts here.

II. Program Educational Objectives
As a form of embodiment of the Mission/Vision of the University, the Mission/Vision the
Faculty, and Mission/Vision of the Department, the program educational objectives are
designed after 3-5 years of student graduation. After that period, the graduate of
information engineering should have:

Program Educational Objectives – Character

Having a good spirit of leadership, high standard ethics, and lifelong learning
to maintain excellence in innovation.

Program Educational Objectives – Career

Be successful in a technical or professional career characterized by having

integrity in the aspect of electrical engineering competency or related field by
fulfilling professionalism, effective communication, and universal value of
humanity.
III. Student Outcomes
By considering the vision and the mission of the university, the faculty, the department, the
input from the stakeholders, the advisory board, and accreditation agencies both local and
international (in this case the Washington Accord), Information Engineering establishes 11
student outcomes (SO) aligned with the graduate's attributes as set by the Washington
Accord as follows:

1 Ability to apply natural science, mathematics, and engineering fundamental theory and
other relevant fields to solve complex engineering problems.

2 Ability to identify engineering problem and employs the existing approaches, resources,
and appropriate equipment to solve complex engineering problems and their activities.

3 Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic
constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety,
manufacturability, and sustainability.

4 Ability to design and conduct experiments to explore the complex engineering problem
as well as to analyze and interpret data.

5 Ability to use engineering techniques, skills, modern engineering tools and information
technology for complex engineering practice.

6 Ability to think logically to evaluate such as health, social, safety, legal, or cultural issues
in the context of the recent knowledge and science in performing engineering
activities.

7 Ability to communicate effectively and confidently in performing complex engineering

activities.

8 Ability to have a role effectively as an individual and team to achieve common goals in
a multidisciplinary environment.

9 The ability to understand ethical values and commit to the norms, responsibilities, and
ethics of the engineering profession. In the context of the Indonesian society, the values
and norms that are considered and accepted in engineering other than universal
common humanitarian norms should also include the principles of Pancasila, local
cultural values, and national interests.

10 The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a

global, economic, environmental, and societal context.

11 Ability to realize the importance of lifelong learning and able to carry it out.
