• 1st Object: “Family Tradition Song”
This object is a song about dinner and family. It resembles “Grace” but it is a bit more relaxed and
joyful. It is a family tradition of the Bessuges Family and has been for a long time. It is a very special
song which involves the whole family and makes them feel connected as one.

• 2nd Object: “Convent de Tuani”

This object is a building. More specifically a “Convent”. It is also part of a family tradition for the
Bessuges as they go there each summer for holiday with a group of friends. They have been going for
18 years now. It is a very special place as it holds many memories from its past life as a real Convent,
and now as a place for families and friends to bond.
History
• Convent de Tuani:
This Convent, which is situated in the north of Corsica was founded in the 15th century and stood as a church for 200
years until it started to crumble. In the 1870's a Catholic group known as "The Order of Friars Minor Capuchin", rebuilt
the Convent with the help of the town people and in 1872 they held the first mass celebrating the rebuilt church. In
1969 it was even owned by renown actress, Catherine Deneuve. A while later it was sold to the owners that rent the
Convent out to the public, for summer holiday for example.
• Bessuges’ Dinner Song:
This song was originally a song of hope, to help each member attending, for a moment of happiness and togetherness.
The lyrics to the song are;
"bon appétit, qui veut manger avec moi
bon appétit, je veux manger avec toi
bon appétit, asseillon nous, 1, 2, 3
bon a bon a-pe-tiiit "
The rough translation of the song is "Enjoy your meal, who wants to eat with me, Enjoy your meal, I want to eat with
you, Enjoy your meal, lets sit down 1, 2, 3, Enjoy your, Enjoy your, Meeaaalll“ It is supposed to bring the people
together and forget about their issues and just have a good meal with the people you love.
Tools & Accessibility
These objects are to be portrayed on a online website named “Bessuges Family Museum” where is
showcased the objects I have described in a manner of pure respect to the family and their traditions.
The goal of this “Museum” is to bring people together, to not forget that we are all human and we all
have things we care about. To put aside our problems and we one as humans.
This museum would showcase, not only the Bessuges, but also many other family traditions. As
sometimes the most impactful things in a museum are things we are familiar with. This website
would be linked by QR code where there would be these said objects in photographs or videos and
small descriptions of the history of these objects.
