2 Describe the real time technical skills you have acquired

The title for the internship was Nanotechnology where dealt with all the fields
sciences i.e., molecular biology, Chemistry etc. These were lab related
experiments which were handled with care with accurate measurements to be
followed during experiments. Laboratory skills also benefit your work by giving
you a better understanding of organisational workflows. These fields are job
related which is very useful in research filed. This is where research skills come
into play. Good research skills can help you to navigate the seemingly infinite
amount of information available and make sense of it all. It also enables you to
evaluate conflicting sources well to support better decision making.

At the conclusion of this three-month project, I was able to comprehend the

ideas of:

Lab Equipment:
o Inspected lab equipment routinely to ensure proper functionality.

o Maintained lab equipment and troubleshot/resolved instrument problems

Utilisation and mastery of the LIS system.

o Experienced with a variety of lab equipment and procedures in

compliance with Good Lab Practices.

o Checked various temperatures of lab equipment and lab itself.

Test Results:
• Nitrophenol dye and Methylene blue was taken for dye degradation using
LANTHANIDE DOPED AZO DYES technique.
• We have observed the absorption spectrums of these dyes at different
wavelengths and intensities.
• For nitrophenol, we observed the degradation at 3.17nm.
• For methylene blue, the degradation is observed at

Bio safety:
o I become familiar with the basic protocols to ensure safety (e.g,
personal protective equipment (PPE) and primary containment).
o Every part of the laboratory is designed to avoid contamination.
