1. What specific topic(s) in the session will be of utmost important takeaway in your work/unit as a PCPT? Why?

The topic about the “Goal of Human Relations” is the utmost important takeaway in my work as a Police
Captain. As a Police Officer and a lawyer, higher responsibility and accountability is placed on my shoulder. The goal of
human relations is to create a win-win situation that satisfy the needs of the employee or in our case the Police Officers
while achieving organizational goals. Win-win situation will only happen when the organization and the employees or
officers both get what they want.

As a Police Officer, flexible working hours are a win-win situation for the organization and Police Officers and
employees. Flexible working hours provides greater productivity for the organization and improved work-life balance of
the Police Officers or employees. In a win-win situation, when both sides are satisfied with their agreement, the odds of
a long-lasting success are much higher.

Win-win situations create benefits for every party involved. Another one is giving good benefits. Good benefits
like health insurance, paid time off, and other benefits give the Police Officers or employees more incentives to stay with
the organization.

The simple question is: what is the benefit to each party of working with each other? Trying to create win-win
situations is one of the best things you can do to achieve success in your career. But more importantly, creating a win-
win situation isn’t about yourself- it means providing real, substantial benefits for the other party on the other side of
the deal. /243 words

2. What particular activity/activities in the session helped in your learning process? Why?

The activity in the session that helped in my learning process is knowing the difference between Human
Relations (HR) and Human Resource Development (HRD). A Human Relations Manager is the one who strives to make
the employees contented in order to be given a higher efficiency or productivity on them; while Human Resources
Manager resolve to see employees as resources or assets that put up purpose of an organization or institution and
needs of an individual.

Knowing that the one who helps in how to get along well with others is a Human Relations Manager part while
the one who focuses on individual need is on the part of the Human Resources Development is important. Another one
is that the one who manages relationships is the Human Relations Manager, while the one who handles disciplinary
actions is the Human Resources Manager.

Both the Human Relations and Human Resources Development are important. Human relations aim to ensure
that the employees are happy and productive. Human relations are critical for developing and maintaining a positive
work environment, retaining employees and encouraging productivity. While Human Resources Development play a key
role in developing an organization’s culture. They facilitate communication between the company and employees,
helping resolve disputes and complaints, etc. / 207 words

How does the C,PNP’s peace and security framework: MKK=K or COP=P reflect the Human Relations concept?

MKK=K stands for Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran or COP=P, Care, Order and
Peace shall equate to Progress. This peace and security framework seek to organize the community as peace advocates
to ensure that every citizen is law-abiding through the help of different organizations.

Good police-community relations are part of human relations and imperative for developing trust
between police and citizens. Without trust, police work becomes less effective. Even if the police officers are preventing
crime, the people may not feel safe because there is no trust.

By the C,PNP’s peace and framework MKK=K or COP=P, public trust will greatly influence the success of
the police service, which in turn further builds the trust of the public.

Constructive Criticism on how the subject was facilitated.

I humbly suggest to have more in between breaks or bathroom breaks and have stretching exercise in the
middle of the lecture. With regard to the lecture and subject per se, I think it was facilitated properly and professionally
by our Professor.
