1) - Product description

AMIGO is a programmable phone dialler for lifts, complying with EN 81-28 norm requirements.

1.1) - Technical features


• Power supply: 12Vdc +/- 15%
• Absorption in stand-by:
ETSA2MRA: 95mA +/- 5%
ETSA2MRA + DEVICES: 115mA +/- 5%
• Absorption during the call cycle:
ETSA2MRA: 120 ÷ 250mA
ETSA2MRA + DEVICES: 200 ÷ 400mA
• Optional: Feeder/battery charger (code ETS8128CH3/7) - EN81-28 § 4.1.3
Amigo emergency telephone can perform the power supply test only when paired with this
feeder/battery charger.

Autodialling of emergency numbers
stored in memory (§ 3.2.4) If all programmed numbers are called

2.4) - BASIC CONNECTIONS
2.4.1) - ETSA2MRA Autodialler (installed in machine room or cabin)
1. Connect the Emergency Telephone to the slave devices (if present)
2. Connect the PHONE LINE to terminals 11 and 12
3. Connect the ALARM PUSHBUTTON (NO/C or NC/C (§ 3.2.13)) to its input
4. Connect the 12V DC power source to terminals 1(+) and 2(-); power up the Emergency phone subsequently
5. Make sure the screen shows "DMG - AMIGO2" followed by software release number (ex. "v.2.2")
6. To check the availability of the phone line, perform the basic programming (see § 3.1) and press the Alarm
button.
7. Press to terminate the alarm cycle.

2.4.5) - Emergency power supply test (§ 4.1.3 of EN 81-28 norm)
Emergency telephone AMIGO 2 can be connected to the Playboard III controller battery (Pitagora system) or to the
(optionals) ETS8128CH3/7 battery charger with 12V external battery.
When power in tension falls below 10V, the AMIGO 2 sends out a service call with the "Low battery charge"
message (§ 3.2.17). When the 12V line in is restored, a service call with the "Regular operation" message is sent (§
3.2.17).

If the emergency telephone has firmware 2.5.0 or higher, for ETS8128CH2 power supply compatibility set
theparameter "ETS8128CH3 = 0" (§ 3.2.24)

2.5) - ADVANCED CONNECTIONS

2.5.1) - Alarm Filtering (§ 4.1.5 of EN 81-28 norm)


When made available by the lift controller (or by any other device in the installation), signals related to the status of
hall / cabin doors and to the presence of the car at floor can be used to filter undue alarms (§ 4.2.1 of EN 81-28
norm). For this purpose, connect the potential-free contact between the ALARM FILTER input of the Emergency
Telephone and the screw terminal n°7 (COM/GND).
Full compliance to EN81-28 norm shall be achieved by connecting AMIGO 2 Telephone to an external Rescue
Service (Call Center or the like).

2.5.2) - Connecting many telephones on one phone line

2.6) - ADVANCED FEATURES

telephone's ID number (§ 3.2.8).

If enabled (§ 3.2.18),telephone will try to automatically understand if the operator hanged handset
without pressing '8'.The event is based on the recognition of busy tone coming from the line and may not
work well in every country.

2.6.3) - Multiline mode

If many telephones are to be installed on the same line (up to 9), every device can be tagged with a unit
identifier that can be used by the remote operator to select the one he want's to talk with.
Selection is needed when operator calls the telephone on the lift and is performed by just selecting the
Unit ID on his keypad.
There must be a telephone with ID 1; all ID's must be different.
