Stitch Guide: Please read this to avoid questions.
St M: Stitch marker Dc: Double crochet
CC: Color Change Tr: Treble crochet
MR: Magic ring 2tog: Decrease between 2 stitches
Ch: Chain FLO: Front loop only
St/Sts: Stitch/Stitches BLO: Back loop only
Sl st: Slip stitch (join is also a sl st) Sk: Skip
Bb: Back bump (the bump under the V on a ch) FO: Fasten off
Sc: single crochet FP: Front Post
Hdc: Half double crochet BP: Back post

Pattern Notes: Please read me!!! These instructions will not be repeated throughout
the pattern.
• This pattern is worked double stranded. You crochet with 2 strands the same way you crochet
with one.
• Do Not count beginning chains unless instructed
• When working in rows: The 1st stitch of the row is worked in the last st of prev row (the st the ch
emerges from) unless instructed not to.
• When working in rnds: The 1st stitch is worked in the same st ch emerges from, unless instructed
not to.
• When you see anything between *-*3x, repeat that sequence the amount of times specified
• Writing breakdown: Hdc 7, 2hdc in nxt st, hdc 7= Hdc in nxt 7 sts, 2hdc in nxt st, hdc in nxt7sts.
Increases are highlighted in blue.
• When I CC (change color), I join, yo with new color & pull through to CC. If you have a preferred method
feel free to do it that way.

Gauge Check: Double strand with I (5.5mm) Hook (or hook size needed to obtain gauge).
8 hdc & 6 rows= 2.5”. This is only important once you begin the portion that sits on your
head.

Pattern Breakdown:
Make leaves and petals (adult and child are the same), then move onto Adult or Child section.
Fuchsia flower option for Adult: I added a bonus option to make it a Fuchsia flower. I don’t recommend
it for children as it will be too heavy in my opinion.
*The pattern is the same, but you will be making 12 of the #2 petal. Instructions on where to add them
are included in the flower/hat section. I didn’t calculate yardage & the pink is not available.
*I did green for the leaves & stem, pink for the #1 petals & last rnd of the hat, then purple for the rest.
