Background
There is a disease in the supply of vegetables, from the school garden. This was identified as a result
of pests and disease. Learners are tasked to investigate and identify the types of pests in the garden,
explain the effects of the pests and give recommendations on how to reduce their effects
CALA activities
Learners should collect or identify the different pests in the garden. They are supposed to classify
the pests and describe the effects of the pests and provide a guide on how to control & reduce the
effect of pests. Learners will present a report which will be assessed on:

Kingdom Animalia, phylum arthropoda, class insecta. Biting, sap sucking and microscopic fungi or
