Rationale: full speech
samples are important in order to identify the exact area of concern with a client’s speech, if any. This allows for a thorough assessment and clarity on issues that may have been unclear in the screening. Goal 2: Child will complete Activity: various activities an early literacy protocol. involving pictures, word formations, rhymes etc. Outcome: Areas the child struggles with as well as Material: pictures, syllable strengths will be highlighted. words, rhymes, etc.
Rationale: The early literacy
protocol reveals the child’s route to acquiring language. It may highlight areas the child struggles with, bringing them to the attention of the therapist. This is important as if there are any areas the child is behind in, these can be addressed.
