Preparing for the Assignment

• Open the Media 03 BandLab assignment and click to open the assignment
- Click somewhere outside of the popup window so that it closes and you see the
editing window.
- Click the green “Assignment Brief” to close that window
• Adjust the default settings as needed
- 120 bpm or other
- Any meter/key
- Make sure the gridlines are on (View Menu)

Creating a song in BandLab with midi

• Add an “Instrument” track and explore the available instrument sounds
• Add a couple more tracks and continue exploring sounds
• Create a short song (approximately 20-30 seconds) using at least 3 tracks/sounds

Publish the project

• Click on the publish button at the top right of the BandLab editor.
• You’re done!
