4. Icebreaker activities to get to get to know your students (observations can be used for diagnosis)

“My name is ……. And I like …..”


Example: My name is Jessica and I like cookies. And the next person has to say “her name is Jessica and
she likes cookies, my name is ….. and I like….” And so on. This will help me evaluate their speaking and
interactions skills.

“Tell us” M&M activity. This will help me evaluate their speaking and interactions skills.

5. Notebook covers (month, big questions, illustration)

HW:
Bring one question that starts with “Who”, one question that starts with “What”, one question that starts
with “Why” and one question that starts with “Where”, to ask each other in the classroom the next day.
Write it on your English notebook.

2. Explain and show material
3. Icebreaker activities to get to get to know your students (observations can be used for diagnosis)

 Who, what, where and why questions activity with a ball. I will mix the homework papers in a box,
toss the ball to someone, take out a question out randomly and the student will answer the question.
This will help me evaluate their listening and speaking skills.
 Fill out all about me worksheet and share. This will help me evaluate the writing skills.
4. Notebook covers (month, big questions, illustration)

HW:

In one paragraph, write about what you did on vacation. (On your English notebook).

writing and interaction skills.

 Cambridge movers listening exercise. This will help me evaluate their listening skills.

the diagnostic exam.

Teacher´s Notes:
1. I need to have copies of the Welcome papers (group C in blue paper and group D in green paper).
2. I need copies of the daily prayers/ classroom rules for my students and I.
3. I need “All about me” copies.
4. I need copies of the listening exercise (I attached a Word with the questions of the exercise). I will
take my computer with the video downloaded and a speaker.
5. I need copies of the “Find someone who….” activity sheet.
6. Observation sheet form attached (or will I receive one?). I also attached a student behavior checklist
to see if I can use it in the future with my students.
7. I need fluency sheets.
