Provide an alternative ending to one of Shakespeare’s plays
Tragedies occupy a special place in Shakespeare's creative heritage. He wrote them
with thoughts about the place and purpose of man, his meaning of life on earth. The features of his tragedies are the ability to brilliantly convey the inner world of the characters. The atmosphere of Shakespeare's tragedies is extremely tense and imbued with the philosophy of life and death. And it is this philosophy that is most visible in the work that became a model of the Renaissance - the tragedy "Hamlet". At the beginning of the work, the young prince appears before us as a true humanist, believing in the absolute perfection of humanity. Surrounded by friends and faith in a bright life, he turns out to be completely unprepared for what fate brings him. The tragedy "Hamlet" raise such issues as the complexity of human life, the desire for revenge, and madness. But the main question lies in the difficulty of the choice, the choice that affects the story "To be or not to be" - suicide as a way to escape from problems or life and eternal struggle. Hamlet hesitated for a long time, what should he choose, but still succumbed to his uncertainty, bent under the pressure of circumstances, and accepted death. But what if the ending of the play showed a different outcome, which would be diverse from the tragic fate of its main character? Let's consider the ending of Hamlet with a twist that offers a completely different ending. As the play reaches its climax, there is a final confrontation between Prince Hamlet and Laertes, who has been instigated by the treacherous King Claudius. The poisoned dagger is ready to bring death to Hamlet. In the alternate ending, instead of succumbing to the fatal wound inflicted by Laertes, Hamlet's sharp wit and cleverness prevent his own demise. After discovering the truth about his father's murder and learning about Claudius' betrayal, Hamlet takes the opportunity to reclaim his rightful place as heir to the throne of Denmark. Instead of seeking revenge through violence, Hamlet makes every effort to outsmart Claudius and save the kingdom from the hands of a cruel murderer - a king who poisoned his own brother for the throne. As Claudius realizes that this is the end, he confesses his crimes, admitting that he is the killer of King Hamlet. Thanks to the support of his mother, friends and the people of Denmark, Hamlet ascends the throne, beginning the era of fairness and honesty. The people of Denmark rejoice at the young Kind, they are waiting for a new one bright future. Hamlet, Horatio and Gertrude work tirelessly to strengthen the kingdom by helping those oppressed by Claudius' tyrannical rule. They establish policies based on equality and respect between people. In the altered ending, the tragic fate of Hamlet's beloved Ophelia also changes. Finding solace in the love and support of Hamlet, who begins to understand her value and place in his life, she gets red of the madness. The new king assures that he will always protect her and offers her not only to become his wife, but also a person who will guide him on the right path and become his support. The last moments of the play do not show death and despair, but hope for a bright future. As Hamlet surveys his kingdom, he swears to honor his father's memory and rule Denmark with wisdom and compassion. The boy makes a promise to himself to fight all the challenges in his way. The old is over, and finally we can contemplate the creation of a new chapter in the history of the kingdom. In conclusion, this ending of Hamlet offers a change from the traditional tragic ending, showing a new ending - the strength of the main character, which is measured in his wisdom, cunning, justice and, above all, self-belief. Preferring forgiveness over revenge, Hamlet transforms tragedy into heroic drama, proving that even in the darkest times there is always hope for the best. Shakespeare's creations are immortal, because the problems raised by the author are eternal questions that people of every era think about. And while our own story of Hamlet has come to an end, his spirit continues to live in the hearts of those who dream of a world where love wins evil and peace reigns.
