A REPORT ABOUT THE STUDY TOUR IN NYTIL JINJA OR SOUTHERN RANGE NYANZA LIMITED

INTRODUCTION.

On 18th April 2024, About 70 to 80 students with two lecturers went for a trip to Nytil or
Southern Range Nyanza Limited with an aim of studying how the company produces it's products
(Clothes) and how it distributes them to the final consumers.

We arrived there at 12:00pm in the after noon. We planed to visit the whole company and it's
production and cloth branding work shop tour to find out the comparison between Local and overseas
production of clothes and labelling of clothes.

TRIP OBJECTIVES.

The objectives of the trip were to get to know the Southern Range Nyanza Limited
Company in more details in terms of the production of clothes and distribution of clothes to different
consumers within the country and outside the country, to get exposure on products (Clothes) and also
to learn how clothes are produced (made), and to learn about the labelling of clothes plus the
comparison between local and overseas production and labelling of clothes.

FIELD OBSERVATION.

We were guided by a tour host called Mr.Balyejuusa Robert, who explained in details
about the production, labelling, and distrubution of clothes. During the tour, we jotted down some
notes and interviewed the host about how the local clothes could be marketed within the country and
overseas.
The question and answers session between guests and the host took about half an hour. We also
managed to collect as many as good brochures and posters relating to the company and it's products
(Clothes) produced.

Due to the time constraint as there were many things to watch and to ask, We tried to get contact
numbers of the host to arrange future trip. We learned various things about the company and we found
out that creativity was shown by the Southern Range Nyanza Limited workers (Employees) to help the
Locally produced clothes to be marketed overseas or atleast reach overseas labelling.

The conduciveness of the environment of the company helped us learn more on the production,
labelling and branding of clothes which could help students to apply in future especially for those who
are interested in business.

CONCLUSION.

Our trip ended at about 4:00pm. It can be concluded that the trip was successful and we
believed that our objectives were archieved. We learned something new and beneficial for us. It was a
well recommended trip especially for Business students and Art students.
