IMPORTANT:
This spare part kit contains all 4 input 3
rollers.
1
It is required to replace always all 4
rollers.
The two upper rollers 1 and 2 are
identical. 4
The segmented roller always has to be 2
mounted at position 4 .

1 Replacement of the Rollers
(1) Switch off the digitizer.

(2) Disconnect the power cable.
(3) Simultaneously press the
two buttons (A) positioned
underneath the feed table.
(4) Pull out cassette unit (B).

(5) Remove 3 upper screws at front

cover.

(7) Press two handles and pull out front

cover approx. 5 cm
(8) Disconnect cable at user interface
board. See Figure 5.
(9) Remove front cover

hand side.

(12) Remove front cover.

(13) Take out cleaning brush holder.

(14) Disconnect two cables at erasure

unit.
(15) Remove screw at erasure unit.
(16) Take out erasure unit.

CAUTION:
IP jams possible if IP guide plate is deformed.
Do not bend IP guide plate at removal.
(17) Slide IP guide plate to the left and

lift it out.

NOTE:
Keep gear wheel with c-clips and pin as spare parts in case a part gets
lost during replacement of a roller.
(32) Mount the two new rollers 1 and 1

2 at the upper side plates.

(33) Remove the c-clips at the lower

rollers right hand side.

(34) Remove the c-clip at the gear of

the segmented roller.
(35) Remove the gear: Take care not
to loose the pin. See arrow in
Figure 27.
(36) Remove the lower rollers.
NOTE:
At the segmented roller
4 a 2nd, inner gear
wheel (not shown in
Figure 27) may be
mounted. This is not
used anymore. Figure 27


ASSEMBLY:
(1) Mount in reverse order.
2 Stall Calibration
Perform a stall calibration for the Roller Clamping Stepper Motor (Menu "Calibrate
Roller Clamper ") as described in the Service Manual CR 30-X (DD+DIS150.06E),
Chapter 3.6, Adjustments and Calibrations.
3 Verification
Verification: (1) Switch off/on the digitizer.

(2) Wait till the status indicator at the digitizer switches to green
(takes approximately 1,5 minutes).
(3) Insert cassette with unexposed IP in the digitizer.
(4) At the processing station select examination type “System diagnosis – Flatfield”.
(5) Select “ID” to identify the image: Scanning starts.
(6) Confirm that the image arrives at the NX processing station.
(7) Reject the image.
(8) Repeat these steps with all available cassette formats.
Result: The Input Rollers are replaced.

1 Replacement of the Rollers

(17) Slide IP guide plate to the left and

(18) Disconnect cable at roller IP

(20) Open four cable holders at left

(21) Cut two cable ties at upper part

(22) Cut one cable tie at upper part

(23) Unplug P4, P17, P25 and P29 at IP

(24) Remove 2 screws of upper part
