Hunter McMain

Artist Bio
Hunter McMain was born in 1995 in San Marcos, Texas where she grew up and
developed her love of art through numerous classes available to her at school and in her
community. She excelled in art from a young age and won several art awards throughout her
high school years. She graduated from San Marcos High School in 2014 and began attending
Texas State University in San Marcos that fall. She is currently pursuing a BFA in studio art with
a specialization in drawing and plans to graduate from Texas State University in May 2019.
Hunter likes to work in pen and ink. She is very close with her family, and her work is inspired
by her relationships with them. She focuses her work on events and memories from those family
relationships. She enjoys recreating her memories in humorous pen and ink illustrations. Her
work is primarily illustrative with exaggerated expressive details for an added touch of humor.
