Born on May 23, 1977, and raised in Kaduna, Nigeria, Lanre Dabiri, widely recognized by his
stage name eLDee, is a versatile Nigerian-American rapper, record producer, and architect.

Prior to pursuing higher education in Lagos, eLDee received his early education at Command
Children’s School in Kaduna and later attended Essence International School. Having pursued a
degree in Architecture at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, eLDee's passion for music and the
arts took root early in his life. In 1998, the collaboration between eLDee and his high school
companion 'Kaboom,' alongside 'Freestyle,' gave rise to the formation of the influential music
group 'Trybesmen.' This collective played a pivotal role in popularizing the Afro-hip hop/Afro-pop
genre, a musical landscape masterfully crafted by eLDee himself. Following this success,
eLDee took the entrepreneurial leap by establishing his independent label, 'Trybe Records,'
dedicated to providing essential support for the group.

In 1999, Trybesmen firmly established their presence as Nigeria's premier hip-hop group,
captivating audiences with hit singles like 'Plenty Nonsense,' 'Shake Bodi,' and 'Trybal Marks.'
Their electrifying performances, including numerous sold-out shows nationwide and beyond,
solidified their dominance on playlists.

The release of Trybesmen's debut album, 'L.A.G. Style,' in 2000 marked a colossal success,
propelling them to become a formidable force across West Africa. Despite subsequent
disbandment as members pursued diverse interests, the impact of Trybesmen's legacy lingered.

eLDee, steering his focus toward Trybe Records, envisioned a platform to nurture new talents,
strategically positioning African Hip Hop/African Pop on the international stage. This endeavor
bore fruit as the label flourished, fostering successful artists such as Sasha, recipient of the
Kora’s Most Promising Artist Award in 2004, as well as 2Shots, Lequse, OlaDele, Timi, and Dr
Sid. Notably, Dr Sid went on to join the 'Mo-hits Records' label and later secured a place in Don
Jazzy's renowned Mavin Records.

Beyond his roles as an artiste, producer, and video director, eLDee stands out as an adept
figure in interactive media, catering to a distinguished clientele that includes renowned entities
like CNN, D3 Publishing, Hines, Accenture, Andersen, Kimberly Clark, Naruto, Primedia, NBA,
UPS, Cartoon Network, Consumer Source, Warner Bros, and many others.

Fueling his multifaceted career is eLDee's profound passion for the current state of Africa,
evident not only in his music but also in his activism for social change. Through his songs, he
addresses pressing issues, aiming to not only motivate but also inspire his fans toward
greatness. Notably, eLDee's impactful social campaigns have even earned him features on
CNN.
